Daso had almost forgotten about that. He'd let himself get so wrapped up in the teasing and joy that he'd lost track of their location. He managed a smile. "Aye, cap."
"Thank god," Cicada responded, "Why are we heading to Sole in the first place?"

Morrigan’s gaze traveled over the skyline of Sole, her mind stuck fast to the notion that her love interest had seen how incredibly broken and unlovable she was.

"Oh, I've seen," Cicada matched her grin, "Been wanting to try my hand at taking part of it for a while now."
Daso gazed at the looming city. The steeples rose high, just as he remembered, gothic and imposing. Just the sight of them made him feel trapped, guilty, disgusting. He gripped the side of the boat, his face passive but his nails denting the side.

Ace never could sleep, but he was too weak and succumbed to the heaviness of sleep and unfortunately, nightmares. He was standing in his village, after the massacre, when everyone was dead and blood covered the ground like a lake. His grandma, mother, father, friends. All dead. And he was only seven. It was too real, everything was too real, Ace woke up, sweating and tired.
