"OhmyGod…" Peggy breathed. He'd heard. Everything.

Vixian celebrated. "He he hehe heeee!"

"Vix!" Peggy cried. "It's not funny."

He headed back to the hotel and pulled out his laptop, looking up anything and everything on Jack Malik, Chara occasionally barking when he skipped over something

"Vix!" Peggy cried. "It's not funny."

"I freaking told you!" Vixian couldn't help herself. "He likes you!"

Peggy shifted so her hair fell across her face, and she looked away.

He sent a text to vixiana, still listening through the bug on the table "love, not like"

Vixian replied. "Ah yes, my mistake." Vixian turned to Peggy. "Oh wait, I lied, I've seen this before he LOVES you!"

He smiled and shook his head while continuing to find information on the man that was torturing Peggy

"Vix, stop," Peggy whispered.

"Ugh, you never let me have my childish fun." Vixian frowned.

"Peggy, you can't escape me… Peggy, I'll find you."
Jack's words echoed in her head and she bit her lip.

"Peg, no comeback?" Vixian asked, concerned.

"N-No," she stammered quietly.

"What's wrong?" Vixian questioned.

She blinked rapidly. "Nothing."

He texted Vixiana again "do you know anything about him?" He sent a picture and a document to her

"Yeah, I think I've heard of him, I think Peggy and him knew each other when she still lived at home." Vixian replied, looking up at Peggy.

"keep me posted on anything else to find about him. I know assassins dont regularly work together but I think you understand why this is an exception." He clicked on a document and skimmed through, Savin it in a folder labeled important

"Will do!" Vixian replied.

"Who are you texting?" Peggy asked, her throat closing around the words.

"Um, you want the honest answer or one I come up with?" Vixian asked with a half laugh. "I have a kinda personal question to ask."

"What is it?" she asked hesitantly.

"Did.. you and Jack ever date. Like back when you still lived at home?" Vixian asked wearly.

Peggy quickly averted eye contact and bit her lip, though Vixian couldn't see it. She felt a shiver run down her spine and it took everything in her not to curl into a ball in the booth.

"reminder, bugs still on the table….I'm taking her silence as a yes." He clicked through a few pages "yes!" He wrote down the last street address Jack was seen on

Peggy closed her eyes and breathed to calm down. "I know, Vix…"

"You don't have to tell me, but I just wanna try and help you talk it out." Vixian said, reaching a hand out.
