He watched her, wondering if she was going to change the channel.

She sat down with the remote and plunked it on her lap, and continued watching Animal Planet.

He turned back to the TV. He watched Animal Planet, strangely enough, he's watching the same thing as his wife on the same TV, gosh how strange.

They stayed up until the sun shone through the windows. Lil had grabbed snacks of various degree and ate through them like no tomorrow.

(Hey is it okay if I make her pregnant?)

(Yes, do that! Child!)

Razin yawned, taking a sip from the glass of water he had grabbed earlier. Packets were scattered over the coffee table and he was content to stay there the rest of the day.

(Yasss child will do so)

Lil leaned back after her fifteenth package of pretzels and patted her tummy.

"You okay?" He asked softly, looking over at her.

“Yes, you’ve asked that a million times in the past seven hours.”

"I'm just making sure," He raised his hands in surrender.

She grunted and threw her feet up on the coffee table and rested her hands on her stomach.

He smiled, scootching closer to her. He rested his head on her shoulder and laid one of his hands on top of hers.

She sighed faintly in contentment and leaned into him, closing her eyes.

He traced small circles on her hand. He was quite simply very calm at this moment, happy to stay there forever.

(so how many months do you think she should be pregnant? Like three or four? One?? So they don’t know yet?)

Lil’s hand twitched underneath his and she grinned a little.

(Yeah, then there's the shock of ohmehgawdimpregnant. What would be the tell signs for demons? Is it the same as humans?)

He smiled as he slowly blinked.

(I suppose it would be the same, but she’d be able to find out quicker because they can sense living things)

She opened an eye. “What? You’re grinning.”

"So are you," He pointed out.

“I have a reason to. You’re just being stupid.”

"Oh yeah? And what would that reason be?"

“I’m remembering when you were a stupider fuck than you are now.”

"Really? Any specifics or just in general?"

“Well, no, just in general.”

"Fair enough," He said, thinking through some of his life choices, cringing at most of them.

(But dad, I can't. My brain isn't functioning. Ima stick with mah pawns for now.)

She laughed at the look on his face and wrapped her arms around her. “You’re an idiot.”

(That is fine by me buddy)

"Yeah, but I'm your idiot," He said, kissing her.

“Mhm.” She agreed as they smootched-y smootched.

He wrapped his arm around her waist as they smootched-y smootched.

She let his neck go and pulled away. “Yep, my idiot.” She said definitely with a smirk of someone who knows something you don’t.

"Yeah," He smiled innocently, leaning back as well.

She pulled him back over and hugged him, but did nothing more.
