He winked at him. "Oh, y'know, this and that." He puffed his cigar.

"Of course," He looked over at Lil, noticing she was very quiet. "You alright?" He asked quietly.
She was looking through a book at the table. "Yes."
"Okay," He muttered before turning back to her father, "Did you watch the game the other night?"
"Ah, yes! But Azele made me turn it off." He pulled a mocking sour face. "'All you ever watch are those games, dear. Let's go do something productive!'"
He chuckled, "Ah, there's a fine line between work and play."
Lil's father laughed for the third time. "Right you are!"
Razin nodded, a smile still on his face. He let a moment of silence come over the three.
"So, have you two discussed having a child?" Lil's father asked conversationally.
He looked over at Lil, "Uh," He hesitated, "Well, we're waiting until we're ready for that responsibility."
Lil glared at him briefly as if telling him exactly why they're waiting.
"And I mean the costs for… everything would go up. One of us would need to take time off work to look after the baby and you could say goodbye for sleep," He rambled on, sidestepping the real reason.
Lil's father saw the look his daughter gave him, and his smile got wider. "No need to continue making yourself look like a fool, old chap! I understand completely." He winked at his daughter and puffed the cigar.
"Okay," He said quickly, looking down at his hands.
Lil had a grim smirk on her face as she flipped the page of her book.
"How long until the food did you say?" He asked, looking up again.
"No one said, dear." Lil answered, painfully putting emphasis on dear.
"My bad, I had forgotten," He said, looking at his wife apologetically.
Lil's father laughed. "Don't be so strict on him, dear! Men make mistakes; that's why they were made first." He patted his daughter's hand, who gave him a grin of appreciation (lol that was really feminist ah well).
Razin awkwardly sits there while Lil and her father have a moment.
"Anyway," Her father purred while sitting back in his chair. "It should be any minute."
He nodded, already able to smell their lunch, "Smells nice."
(it's lunch)
"Tell Azele that," Her father boomed.
"I'll be sure to," He replied.
Lil's father chuckled gently and puffed his cigar.
Soon, Azele walked in bearing plates of food. Razin took one of her, placing it on the table for her.
(thanks)
Azele sat down and swept her shimmering brown hair out of the way. She was really quite beautiful; it was obvious where Lil got her looks from. Azele smiled a pretty smile and gave the other plates out. "Hello, Lil and Razin. How are you two doing?"
"We're good, yeah, good," He answered for both of them.
Lil nodded gently. "How about you, mum?"
"Good, sweetie." She looked at Razin. "And I'm glad to hear it, there's been a lot of crime down where you guys are from, I was worried."
"There's no need to worry, we look after each other. Right, love?" He looked over to Lil.
