"Hey." She shut her door and pressed the pedal. "I want to drive by the turnoff and look around, just to see if it's all real."
The Murders of Bocelli Lane (CLOSED// STALKERS WELCOME)
"Okay then, do what you want to do." Yesim said, looking out the window as they drove.
"Well, maybe poke around a bit - people will go far to make things appear real." She drove in the direction of the turnoff. "When we're home, we can do whatever - I don't really have a plan."
"Sounds good to me." She moved some hair out of her face.
Eventually they reached the turnoff.
There were five dead bodies strewn across the road. Brooke slammed on the brake and turned the car off, getting out.
Yesim got out, standing behind Brooke while looking at the bodies.
(no offense but…if she's a pacifist shouldn't she be shocked?)
"We need to see if they're real." Brooke walked to the trunk and pulled out a long car pole. Trodding nervously up to one of the bodies. She poked it, and blood came spilling out of a wound.
(she's already seen it so she's used to it)
Yesim quickly looked away while covering her eyes.
(ah)
"Yes, that's alive." Brooke shivered and turned to Yesim. "Do the police know about this?"
"I don't know." She said, still not looking at the bodies.
"If they don't, we'd better notify them." Brooke put the pole back in the car. "Do you know who these people were? We could…I don't know, investigate." She shifted. "My grandpa was a professional detective."
"You can if you want, I'm not going to join though, sorry."
"That's alright." She slid into the car. "I know you're a pacifist, and that's fine."
Yesim slid into the car, "Okay then, thanks for understanding."
"It's no problem. Would you mind reporting it to the police?"
"Sure."
"Okay." She pulled up to the police station. "We won't get into the gory stuff, I promise."
"Thanks." She smiled at Brooke as a thank you.
They walked in. An officer was sitting at the desk. "How can I help you?" She asked sweetly.
"We, uhm, saw five dead bodies at the turn off in Bocelli Lane." She replied, nervously fiddling with the hem of her shirt.
"Excuse me, say again." The officer took out a notepad and raised a high eyebrow. "Are you sure?"
Yesim nodded slightly, "Yes, officer, we saw five dead bodies."
"At the Bocelli Lane turnoff?" The officer stood up. "This is serious. I hope you don't mind showing the squad around."
"Oh-uhm-sure." Yesim replied, still fiddling with the hem of her shirt.
"We'll show you the way," Brooke stated, waiting for the officer to get in her car. As the two sat in theirs, Brooke leaned over to Yesim. "Are you okay with this?"
Yesim nodded, "Yep."
"Okay. Just checking. This is the last time you have to go, I promise." Brooke swore, pulling out of the lot and heading towards the turnoff.
Yesim smiled at her and looked out the window as they drove off.
They soon arrived there. The cops got out of the car and started poking around, while one rolled down their window to talk to them.
"No offense, but you're suspects. We'll have to fingerprint you and ask you a couple questions." She held out a pad of ink. "Finger, please."
Yesim nodded and held out her hand.
