Kate walked through the halls, protecting faux confidence. The only remaining physical damage of the crash was a mark along her temple.

Jay had left the hospital in the morning and drove to school, though it was not easy he still did it. When he got out he grabbed his crutches then walked inside.

Kate brushed a piece of her hair behind her ear and caught Jay in her vision. "Jay!" she cried and ran over to him. "What are you doing here?"
