Nolan followed him in after a moment. Ge started the bath water, making sure it wasnt too hot or two cold. "Do you want me to help you?" He stood in front of Ayce

Ayce sat down on the edge of the tub, looking up at him. His lips parted, and he hesitated. "I-I don't…know." he whispered, looking up at Nolan.
Nolan nodded. "Arms up." He instructed as he started to lift the shirt. He helped him out of the trousers next. He gently lifted Ayce and set him in the tub. "Does the water feel okay?"
Ayce followed his instructions, automatically shifting to hide his crotch from view. He nodded. "Yeah…" He replied softly.
Nolan grabbed a cloth and put soap on it. He then slowly began to bathe Ayce, mindful of open wounds. His touches were affectionate but not sensual. He just wanted to care for him

Ayce leaned into his touch a little; it was obvious that he was so attention starved and needy, for any sort of physical touch, that he just sort of melted into Nolan's hands, closing his eyes.
Nolan smiled softly and hummed a soft tune. When he got to Ayce's hair, he was extra careful. He gently combed through his hair, massaging his scalp as he scrubbed the soap in
Ayce winced a little when soap would occasionally get into the wounds that hadn't hadn't yet healed, but didn't make a noise of complaint.
Nolan tried to eork out the knot as best as he could. There were some though he had given up on. He would just have to cut them off. Once he finished he drained the tub and picked Ayce out of the tub. He dried him off with a fluffy towel and dressed him. "Lets go take care of this mess." He said as he ran a hand thrkugh his hair
Ayce helped as much as he could, looking at Nolan. He nodded slightly. "O-okay." He said slowly, brushing a strand of hair out of his face.
Nolan sat Ayce down in a chair. He grabbed a pair of scissors. He kissed the top of his head before he started cutting his hair
Ayce held still, closing his eyes. The sound of the scissors brought back memories. None too pleasant ones, either. He shivered slightly at the memory, taking a deep breath.
Nolan paused as the fae shivered. He set down the sicissors for a moment. "You're okay love. I'm here." He whispered before kissed his head once more
Ayce nodded slightly. "I-I… okay…" He said softly, hands curling into fists on his lap, curling and uncurling as he tried to calm down, tried to suppress the memory.
Nolan moved in front of him and knelt. He grabbed his hands gently. "Hey, it's just fine. I'm just cutting your hair." He reassured
"I know." He whispered, looking down at his hands. "S-sorry." He blinked, taking a deep breath and biting his lip a little.
"Don't be sorry. Its alright." Nolan said. He gave hik a smile. "I'm going to finish cutting your hair now okay? And then we'll go to sleep."
He nodded. "Okay." He replied, swallowing and holding still so that Nolan could finish up cutting his hair. He realized that it had been a long, long time since his hair had been short. In Raifa they had kept it just short enough that it wasnt down his back and getting in the way. Otherwise, they hadn't gave a damn about its length.
Nolan fonished cutting his hajr quickly. He threw away the cut locks in the trashcan. He stood im fromt of Ayce and held out his hand to him
Ayce hesitated for a moment, then took Nolan's hand, running his free hand through his now shorter hair. His hair was now a little shorter than chin length, the knots and tangles cut away.
Nolan smiled. He brought him over to the bed and sat down, patting the spot next to him. "How about we settle down for bed hmm? Or something else you want?"
Ayce sat down, and shook his head, leaning against Nolan a little. "Okay." He replied simply, snuggling close to him in a very similar way to the way a small child would.
Nolan wrapped his arms around Ayce. "How do you feel today?" He asked softly, looking down at him
Ayce shrugged a little. "I don't know." He replied softly, closing his eyes and snuggling close. "Thank you for helping me…"
Nolan smiled. He rubbed his side gently. "Of course sweetheart." He kissed his forehead, his nose, his cheek, and lastly his lips
Ayce opened his eyes for a moment, then closed them again, still snuggled close to Nolan. He felt… safe. For the first time in a very long time, he felt safe.
Nolan slowly laid back on the bed and placed the blankets over them. He ran his hands over Ayce soothingly
Ayce snuggled as close as possible, holding onto Nolan's shirt with both hands. "Good night…" He whispered.
"Goodnight sweetheart." Nolan smiled. He stilled his hands on Ayce. He felt happy for the first time in forever.
Ayce kept his eyes closed, slowly falling asleep. Some of his hair fell into his face, though he didn't seem to notice or care.
