(No, I don't think so.)
The Runaways (6/6)
"How the hell does climbing a tree help? Bees fly, y'know!" She called up, laughing.
"I pushed a kid in front of me." He sniffed. "Now the bee has new prey."
"Well, that's just rude. What if they were allergic?" She asked, pretending to be scolding him.
"Ok, here you go." She responded, standing up and holding out her hand.
(Do they know that they have powers?)
(Not yet, they'll find out later and one by one.)

Xeelia came sprinting through the park, out of breath, blue curls damp and plastered to her face. Her clothes—a simple black tank top and grey jean shorts—were slightly damp from the bathing suit beneath them. She has gotten the text late thanks to her swim, but she had come as soon as possible. She missed these guys too much to ditch. "Hey!" she greeted once she approached the group, chest heaving with heavy pants, "Sorry, I was at the pool."
Azalea looked around as they started to help Adie get out of the tree. "The gang's almost all out here. I guess we're just waiting for Xeelia." Azalea mumbled more to herself than to the group. Just as she said it, there she came out of the blue. "Speak of the devil." She murmured before waving to her. "Hey,"
(Oof, let me edit that)
"That's their problem. Someone tall help me get down please." Adyn huffed, raising his eyebrows in exclamation.
Carmen rolled her eyes. "Want me to try and shake ya down?"
“We can see that,” Charlise remarked to Xeelia, smiling in a much more friendly manner than her comment. She patted the ground next to her. “You should sit down.”
"… I'm not breaking my arm again." Adie flipped Carmen off. "Becuase that's what happened last time you shook me out of a tree."
"It wasn't a break, it was a fracture. Fix your memory." She said, sticking her tongue out.

Xeelia sat down with a sigh, then tipped her head back to look up at Adie. "Should I ask or has that already been established?" she questioned, not directing it to anyone in particular.
"How about you jump off and we catch you?" Azalea asked, knowing that that would possibly result in another fracture.
"He's an idiot who's scared of bees." Carmen said, turning to her. "Also, hi."
Charlise thought for a moment and leaned in to person next to her, “Do you think it would work if we told him there’s bees in the tree?”
"Hey Xeelia." Kim said "And I am tall Adie. I'm like, 6'2."
Azalea nodded towards Charlise's question. "Most likely." She said before putting her hands around her mouth and shouting up to Adie. "There's a beehive at the top of that tree and bees are flying around!"
Adie jumped, falling out of the tree and landing on Azalea. "Fuck you Azalea!" He yelled, seeing the tree was empty.
Charlise tried her best not to laugh. “Sorry Adie,” she managed, glancing at him.
"Well, I guess that works too." She muttered, "So, what do you guys want to do?"
"I'm going to get you back Char." He grunted, flipping her off too. "This is why I never hang out with you all." Adie groaned, saying it jokingly.
“Mmm, we’ll see about that,” she replied with a knowing smirk. “This is nice, just like old times.”
"Yeah. It's great." She said, sitting back down.
“So what have you all been up to, then?” Charlise asked, looking around at her friends. “Anything fun?”
Carmen smiled, taking her guitar from where it was slung across her back and putting it in her lap, playing around with it a bit. "Just detention, grounded, and gone to a few shows down on 53rd and 3rd, ya know the drill." She said, shrugging.

Xeelia simply sat quietly as the others talked, an idle smile on her face as her eyes darted from person to person. This was great, just like old times. "I haven't really been doing much, going to the pool, trying to break my personal record on how long I can hold my breath at the bottom of the deep side of the pool."
"I gave someone a black eye for touching my soda." Adie shrugged, dusting off his clothes with a frown.
"I've been trying to help my mom out more. I've also been working on my art." Kim pulled her notebook out of her bag.
