“ there's nothing left to say now.”

After a bit of soothing, Corbin settled back down and relaxed again, trilling softly in his sleep.

Cyrus answered his trill, Kissing his head

Eventually, Corbin stirred and woke up, looking up at Cyrus sleepily.

Cyrus smiled softly “ hey love.”

"Mmmnh… mornin…" Corbin mumbled. "Should we get going soon…?"

“ sure..” he picked corbin up

Corbin adjusted his grip on Cyrus so he would be more secure, humming contentedly to himself.

Cyrus started to walk out of the building, heading to their parent's house.

Corbin got out of Cyrus' arms before he knocked on his dads' door. Nathaniel soon answered it and let them inside.

Cyrus walked in, soon looking for Lorenzo. He had a bunch of pictures of spells found in books he needed to show him.

"Lorenzo is in the back room working on something, by the way." Nathaniel said. "If you're looking for him, that is."

“ yes, thank you sir.. “ he said softly and left to go find lorenzo.

Lorenzo looked up from his work when Cyrus came in. "Oh, you're here. Have you done any research?"

“ yeah a lot.”

"Alright, let me see what you've got, then." Lorenzo put down what he was working on.

Cyrus set his phone down, showing Lorenzo all the pictures he’d saved

Lorenzo scrolled through them with a soft hum. "Alright, do you have any ideas?"

“ not really. I've only ever done bending so, “ be said softly

"Well, as far as what kind of protection you think would work best for you." Lorenzo replied.

“ something that will let me bend through it but won't let dads bending hit me. “

"Alright. Can you only bend with your hands?" Lorenzo asked.

Cyrus sighed “ hands yes, though is still pretty challenging using anything other then my hands”

"Alright. Then it might be possible to make a sort of protection spell that covers everything but your hands so you could still use them. It's also possible to bend through the barrier, but you'd have to do some trial and error to see what works."

“ well.. we only have today so..”

"Well, we can try things out during your training as well. We can find something we think might work and you can test it tomorrow."

“ Yeah, though there's a problem. Corbins coming..”

"He knows about the spells we're trying though, doesn't he? It shouldn't be a problem."

“ I just don't want him seeing me get the shit beat out of myself if this fails.”

Lorenzo sighed softly. "Well, hopefully you're good enough at this stuff that you won't anyway. Besides, anything we do should help at least a little."

“ yeah.. “ his mind was elsewhere. He was worried about bringing corbin, but the though of him getting hurt and corbin rushing to help..and corbin.. Corbin getting hurt.. His eyes pricked with tears
