He nodded. "Don't worry. We could balance it out by giving some better luck to people who deserve it." He said gently.

"Like poor Lady Mistress," Luck put in.

He bit back a retort. "Exactly."

"She's just been so stressed lately…" Luck admitted.

He nodded

"With all of her planning and out of the way errands…" Luck continued. She realized what she was saying and meekly stopped talking.

"Yes, yes I know." He said solemnly.

Luck blinked her wide eyes up at him. "Y-You do?"

"Who doesn't?" He asked, almost jokingly

Luck's face flushed a bright red. "I… I didn't know that she was so… public with all of her…" She quickly stopped herself from finishing.

He nodded. "Well, not quite her being public, a bit more it being… obvious."

"Obvious? H-How so?"

"She does always seem stressed."

"It's probably because-" Luck clapped a hand to her mouth and looked down quickly.

He decided not to say anything.

She let her hand drop to her side, and she looked up into his eyes. "S-Sorry…"

"It's fine."

"So why were you at Talivera's house?"

"Again, I just needed a favor."

"What- Oh…" Luck blushed. "I already… asked… you…"

He nodded, smiling kindly. "It's alright, we all get memory lapses."

"My mind is just… overwhelmed, that's all," she sighed.

He nodded. "Happens to the best of us."

Luck happened to glance back towards the house to see Lady Mistress coming. "Oh, she's coming!"

He looked up. "Lady Mistress." He said politely

"Hello, Death," Lady Mistress addressed him formally.
