Baal yawned loudly before his eyes fell shut

Ruby borked gently then set her head down next to him.
Vin huffed and relaxed into the seat. “How… annoying.”

"You call him annoying again and he might start screaming," Vien warned

“I’m pretty sure he’s asleep,” Vin growled quietly.

"Spirits are never totally asleep," Vien said in an almost ominous tone

Vin huffed again and crossed his arms. “Alright, then, Vien.”

"I kid, I kid," Vien laughed

Vin rolled his eyes and uncrossed his arms. “That had a terrible effect, you know.”

"I would think that deadpanning would work for me," Vien huffed

Vin chuckled gently. “Really? You have bad standards on effects, then.”

"Oh, leave me alone," Vien huffed, now pouting as he drove

Vin chuckled again and nudged Vien. “Cheer up, Vien.”

Vien kept a straight frown, though inside he was secretly dying of laughter

Vin rolled his eyes edgily again and looked out the window.

Vien grinned excitedly when they arrived in front of the beach house, eagerly stepping out as soon as they were parked

Vin woke up the animals, grabbed their leashes and got out. “It’s great here, Vien!”

Vien grinned at Vin’s excitement. “I know. Isn’t it beautiful?” he said while walking around to the trunk

Vin shook Ruby again. “Hey, get up you two!”

Baal whined and grumbled, nudging Vin’s hand with his nose in protest

Ruby, on the contrary, hopped up immediately and out of the car.
Vin booped Baal’s nose. “Come on, we’re here!”

Baal whined loudly, still not moving

Vin sighed and looked at Vien. “Baal’s not moving!”

“Okay, I’m coming,” Vien groaned. He walked around before picking Baal up and holding him to his chest like a baby

Vin rolled his eyes and walked over to the trunk to unload.
Ruby immediately got jealous and borked up at Baal angrily.

Baal cracked an eye open, tittering smugly before nuzzling Vien’s cheek

Vin lifted up some bags as Ruby bounded after the pair, borking hotly.

Vien walked towards the fancy-looking cabin, laughing a little as Ruby chased after them
