"So we're all strangers." Aaron groaned loudly. "This is just great. I was supposed to go see Chicago tonight," he whined.
Laura stirred, groaning as she managed to push herself into a standing position. "W-what?" she gasped, bewildered. Was she dreaming? She tried to think back to the last thing she remembered, but her mind was blurry, and she was only half awake.
"Oh, hey, person. How are you feeling?" Aaron asked without looking at her.
“And another one gets added to the pile,” Riley said. He looked at the girl who had just woken up. “Welcome to the stranger room, where we play Truth or Dare with monsters and people we have never met before.”
Aaron nodded. "Very accurate."
"Ok…" Laura answered, still looking around, trying to figure out where she was.
Aaron frowned. "You're probably in shock. That should have more of an effect on someone."
“He’s got a point. Are you even going to ask about the monsters thing? Or maybe the trapped in a room with a bunch of strangers bit? I feel like that should worry most people.” Riley said.
Laura shook her head, trying to clear it. "What monsters thing? Am I dreaming? What the hell?"
She stood up, looking for an exit.
Lyric stands up and starts pacing the room, taking deep breaths.
Laura was beginning to freak out. Just a little. She'd never exactly been the bravest person around. "Who even are you people?" Laura cried. The last thing she remembered, she'd been walking home from school… How was she here now?
Kyra, who was only mentally going crazy, leaned back on a wall. "If we are introducing ourselves, then I'm Kyra." She started fidgeting with a hair band that was previously on her wrist.
Lyric looks up for a minute. "Lyric," She states, then continues pacing.
Laura looked around, stunned by how casual everyone was. "Laura," she introduced herself. "You do realise we've been KIDNAPPED right?"
Lyric stops dead. "I didn't think about that. Now I'm panicking."
"Kidnapped, yes. We have been kidnapped. I believe I am aware of that." Kyra said simply. "But for what purpose? The question is why have we been kidnapped?" (under pressure, Kyra kinda just goes crazy on the inside and doesn't function well on the outside)
"Sorry." Laura said to Lyric. "I mean, hopefully we'll be rescued soon. There's a heap of us in here, so surely this won't go unnoticed for long?"
"It won't be noticed that I'm missing," Lyric replies.
"Why not?" Kyra asked. "Bad neighborhood?"
Laura felt bad. "Sorry." she winced. She quickly changed the subject. "So does anyone have any idea, why we've been kidnapped?"
"It doesn't matter," Lyric says to Kyra.
Laura started feeling along the walls in case there was a way out. It was a long shot, but she might as well try.
"Probably because we're all so darn attractive," Aaron said with a heavy dose of sarcasm.
Kyra stood up, now feeling vunerable in the room with strangers. For all she knew, one of them could be the cause for what happened. "What are you doing? Do you believe there is a way out?" She asked Laura, curious at what she was doing.
"No," Laura confessed, "but I figured I may as well check, cos we'd all feel stupid if there did turn out to be a way out, but we didn't check…"
Kyra let out a tight laugh. "No doubt about that." She hesitated, looking at the white slip of paper once again, probably for the millionth time now. "So is this thing ever going to start? I feel like the worst part of this is the anticipation."
"What are you talking about?" Laura asked, having not seen the instructions yet.
"What do you think we're in here for? Prison?" She said with a heavy dose of sarcasm. Kyra gave Laura a look meaning she was joking. "Look at the screen."
Laura read the screen, growing more and more horrified as she read. "W-what?" she asked, her voice shaky with shock and fear. "That's sick."
