Two Shots of Espresso

(ive got a question. is this kinda like the riverdale schools? like the non rival school is riverdale high and the rival school is southside high?)

Alex walked into the cafe with a backpack slung over her shoulder. It contained some of her little projects that she couldn't risk leaving at home for her parents to find out. She sat down at a table farthest away from most people and pulled one of her projects out. For some reason, Alex had always been interested with technology and weapons. Which is why she combined them most of the time. Don't accept anything from her because it would mostly can be used as a weapon if not careful. She pulled out her set of thermal googles she was working on. She took out a screwdriver and started screwing some nuts and bolts in along with some lights.

(So my idea is that the cops come bc of suspicious noise and lights from Alex and they have a report of (number of us) single people causing destruction oof idk this was a quick thought up idea)

Cherith smiled and took her sketchbook back. She finished her latte and got up to throw her cup away.

Kelly walked into the cafe, her laptop tucked under one arm and her backpack slung over her shoulder. She ordered a lemonade, her usual, then carried it in her free hand to a cluster of beanbags in the far corner of the shop. She let her backpack fall to the floor and put her lemonade beside it. She flopped into the beanbag, logged onto her computer and began typing furiously.
