“No problem,”Boris replied.
He then went to make himself a sandwich. He kept an eye on Kera, just in case, but he doubted anything weird would happen.
Jonathan smiled slightly at Kera, happy that her migraine had been taken care of, then looked at Boris.
“Thanks for helping out.”
“That’s what I’m here for,”Boris replied casually.
Jonathan snickered, then noticed Kera’s glass still on the floor. He picked it up, setting it on the counter, then wiped up anything that had spilled. Afterward, he went back to his waiting thermos of coffee.
He wasn’t sure what else to do besides sit there, and her words earlier nagged at him. Had he misheard, or had he not? And had she been honest? Did she, when they were all still kids, truly have a crush on him? What did that mean for them now? Did he dare even think about it?
