He watched her.
Aliana looked up at Hatta her voice trailing off. She hoped he was fixed, and then she didn't care and pulled him into a hug.
Hatta's eyes were fragile, but more sane now.
Aliana felt a tear slip down from her eyes as she held him, "Are, are you back Hatta?"
Hatta shrugged. "I guess."
Aliana pulled away a little and looked up at him. She had a slight grin on through the few slipping tears, "Really?"
Hatta shrugged again.
Aliana wanted to cry out in frustration, all that and no solid movement forward. But, but at least she could touch and hold him without him shrieking away. She felt more tears slip down and rested her forehead against his chest.
He hesitantly wrapped his arms around her shoulders.
Aliana glanced up at Hatta. She could tell he was still hesitant. She took a breath and just started to hum in an attempt to relax herself.
Hatta watched her carefully.
Aliana hummed louder. She had hopeful eyes that he would fix himself. He was already part of the way there.
Hatta took a deep breath.
Aliana started to sing again, very soft, very low. The melody was meant to be soothing and calm.
He listened, looking at her.
Aliana took a deep breath and her tune changed just ever so slightly, "When you try your best but you don't succeed."
He studied her.
"When you get what you want, but not what you need," Aliana continued on not paying much mind to his looks.
He listened to her, biting his lip.
"When you feel so tired but you can't sleep," Aliana continued looking up at him, "Stuck in reverse."
He watched her, listening.
"When tears come streaming down your face," Aliana sang her tears now dried.
He watched her, taking deep breaths.
" 'Cause you loose something that you can't replace," Aliana choked up slughtly on those words but pushed through, "When you love someone but it goes to waste. What could be worse?"
He listened, biting his lip.
"Lights will guide you home," Aliana continued her eyes falling on his lips before softly continuing, "And ignite your bones. And I will try to fix you."
He swallowed softly, still listening.
Aliana went to sing and found her voice lost. She tried once more determined to get at least another verse and chorus out, "But high up above or down below. When you are too in love to let it show."
He listened quietly.
