We're All a Little Mad // OxO // Closed

Aliana wanted to wake up. She wanted to wake up so damn badly, but she just couldn't. Another quiet sob slipped out as she tried to get out of the nightmare.

Hatta shook her gently. "Shh, Aliana."

Aliana finally forced her eyes opened as he shook her but nightmare and reality melded together. She didn't move from where she waws only curling up further against him. She didn't want him to be mad, she- she didn't want him to hurt her again.

Hatta held her gently, stroking her hair. "Shh. I've got you."

Aliana tensed as she felt him stroke her hair but quickly relaxed to the touches. She whimpered softly, "I- I'm s- Thank you."

Hatta nodded softly. "Mhm. You're okay." he kept stroking her hair gently, trying to soothe her.

Aliana was still shaking and the tears wouldn't stop falling. She buried herself further against him trying to figure out what was going on. All she knew for sure was that Hatta wasn't, Hatta wasn't going to hurt her. At least, she hoped so.

Hatta kept stroking her hair, holding her. "Shh, I've got you. You're going to be okay."

Aliana wanted to believe him. She really did, but. But. But there was no reason not to believe him was there. She buried her head into his neck as she murmured softly, "Promise?"

Hatta nodded slightly. "Of course." he replied in a quiet, gentle tone.

Aliana let out a sigh and her tears finally stopped. She couldn't prevent her body from shaking though, "I'm, I'm sorry for waking you up like this."

Hatta shook his head. "It's okay, love." he replied softly, kissing her forehead.

Aliana still felt guilty, but she felt a little better after that. She nuzzled against him trying not to shake, "I, I, I love you."

Hatta smiled. "I love you too." he whispered back.

Aliana took a deep breath in and out finally getting her body to stop shaking. Her mind finally decided as to what had been a nightmare and what hadn't been.

Hatta kept holding her, stroking her hair gently.

Aliana was taking deep breaths to calm her beating heart. She repeated her earlier words, "Thank you Hatta. Really, thank you."

Hatta smiled. "You're welcome, love." he murmured in reply.

Aliana yawned a little as she nuzzled into him, "Mmm, I, I like being called love."

He chuckled. "Shall I keep doing it, then?" he asked with a faint smile.

Aliana nodded tiredly as she glanced up at him smiling, "Yeah. Please."

Hatta ran his fingers through her hair. "Alright."

Aliana purred slightly and nuzzled against him, "Do, do you want me to call you anything?"

Hatta shrugged. "Hm. Only if you want to."

"I find something then," Aliana responded nuzzling into him again.

Hatta nodded. "Mm. Alright."

Aliana hummed and let out another yawn, "Okay."

"Shall we go back to sleep?"

"Mhm," Aliana hummed in response keeping close to him.

Hatta let out a soft chuckle, holding her close.
