Aliana took the cup with both hands and held it close to her, "Thank you."

Hatta nodded. "You're welcome."

Aliana took a sip of the tea and bit her lip. She couldn't think of anything to talk about.

Hatta looked at her for a moment. "So…after we find the guardian…then what?"

"I, I don't know," Aliana responded with some thought, "We'll just have to wait and see."

Hatta nodded. He sighed softly.

Aliana thought for a moment, "What do you think we should do, after we find the guardian?"

Hatta shrugged. "We have to stop the…the Jabberwocky." My father…

"Yeah," Aliana played with her thumbs, "We do. Are, do, do you think you'll be able to do it?"

Hatta closed his eyes, and nodded. "I hope so."

"If not," Aliana took a breath, "I'll, I'll help in whatever way I can."

Hatta nodded. "Alright. Uhm…thank you."

"You're welcome, " Aliana responded giving him a slight nod back.

Hatta took a deep breath, flopping down on the bed.

Aliana laid back down on the bed and let out a deep breath. No matter how much she tried to force her thoughts and feeling away they kept coming back up. She asked quietly almost hesitantly, "Hatta?"

Hatta looked over at her. "Hm?" he raised his eyebrows at her.

"What, what do you think about love?" Aliana finally asked after some thought. She had to put a question together that wouldn't give her own turbulent emotions away while figuring his thoughts out.

Hatta blinked slowly. "I don't…I don't know." he replied slowly. "I think it depends."

Aliana bit her lip as she asked carefully, "Depends on what?"

Hatta shrugged. "Who or what I'm loving, I guess." he replied, running a hand through his hair.

"If, if it was me?" Aliana's voice was barely above a whisper. She half expected Hatta not to have heard her at all.

Hatta had heard her, and his eyebrows drew together. "If it was you…" he trailed off, swallowing.

Aliana felt her face heat up. She had said it aloud, but she hadn't expected him to respond, "You, you don't have to respond."

Hatta blinked. "Yeah. I just…" he didn't know what to say. Because yeah, that would be…that would be nice.

Aliana bit her lip to the point where she drew blood once more. Her voice was barely above a whisper as she looked over at him her face close to beat red, "Just, what?"

Hatta looked over at her. "I guess it would depend on you. And…how you…felt." he replied slowly.

"And if I," Aliana had to pause to swallow her emotions choked up in her throat, "I felt the same?"

Hatta bit his lip. "I…" he hesitated for a long moment.

Aliana could hear her heart racing in her ears. She tried not to get her hopes up, but it was hard not to when her emotions were getting the best of her.

Hatta studied her for a moment. "I guess I could…love you." He replied slowly.
