Aliana started to sink slightly and went to recover. She was now just laughing all panicking gone.

Hatta watched her, smiling and glad that she was able to do this now.

Aliana ended up sinking and she went to move to stand up rather than go underwater. She felt a slight panic rise but kept it controlled.

Hatta watched carefully, ready to step in and help if necessary.

Aliana made so she was now upright in the water. She looked over to Hatta beaming, "I did that on my own too!"

Hatta grinned. "Yeah, you did!"

Aliana walked towards him her eyes bright and filled with confidence, "What next?"

Hatta smiled. "Now we work on swimming." he replied.

"Right," Aliana nodded grinning still.

Hatta smiled. "On your back again. We're going to get you to master a backstroke first."

Aliana nodded once more and slowly worked to float on her back once more, "Okay."

Hatta smiled. "Good. Now kick your feet a little bit. Gently."

Aliana nodded and slowly kicked her feet. She was afraid of sinking once more so the movements were small and hardly noticeable.

"A little harder." Hatta said with a soft laugh.

"Fine," Aliana started to kick only slightly harder. She was still scared, but also she realized she couldn't see where she was going.

Hatta smiled a little bit, watching her.

Aliana stopped moments later and went back to floating afraid she would hit her head on something/

Hatta looked down at her. "Why'd you stop? You were doing really well."

"I'm, I'm worried I'm going to hit something," Aliana admitted not having the courage to look up at him."

Hatta smiled. "I wouldn't let you hit anything."

"Promise?" Aliana responded looking up at him.

Hatta nodded. "I promise."

Ariana let out a breath, "Okay." She began to kick once more at the same rate as earlier.

Hatta stayed near her, making sure she wouldn't hit the edge.

Aliana looked at Hatta, "Am I doing good?"

Hatta nodded. "Yeah, you're doing great."

Aliana grinned at Hatta and kept kicking, "This is all I have to do?"

Hatta nodded. "Yup." He replied. "For now."

"There's more?" Aliana asked him as she continued to kick straight towards the wall of the pool.

Hatta nodded. "Yeah. Like using your arms, and swimming on your front."
