Reo’s head moves to the side and he yelps, moving back, staring at Lixian, “I don’t know what you think, but some people actually care about you!”

He rolls his eyes. “Sure.”

Reo scowls, “How else do you think I would put up with you shoving me around, throwing shit at me and slapping me?! You think I only do the shit that makes you do that for my own fucking pleasure?!”

He narrows his eyes. “You just seem like a needy bastard.”

Reo throws his hands out to his side, “Maybe so! But I fucking care about you! Maybe too much.” He looks away, “Maybe way to fucking much for everything you do. Didn’t even say thank you when I spend all day getting you fucking liquor. Despite the fact I wasted it. You never say thank you for anything.” He looks at him, his gaze wounded, “The only thing I want from you is for you to just. . . care about yourself.”

Lixian huffs a laugh, “Caring about yourself is selfish.”

Reo shakes his head, “Well. Everyone deserves to be selfish in life sometimes.” He whispers. He looks back at him.

(There’s a big ass bruise on his face-)

Lixian shakes his head and walks inside.

Reo follows him, “Lix. . .”

Reo goes quiet, closing the front door and locking it, looking at the floor and walking to towards the couch.

Lixian flops onto his bed, silent.

Reo watches him, looking sad for a moment, hovering in the doorway, biting his lip.

Lixian closes his eyes, covering his eyes with his arm.

Reo hesitates, walking over and sits net to him, quiet.

Lixian huffs. “What do you want.”

Reo sighs, laying down and grumbling, snuggling into LIxian, “Shh. . .”

Lixian looks at him. “You’re insane.”

“How so. . ?” He mumbles, hiding his face in Lixian’s shoulder.

Lixian sighs, “You’re staying here even when I try to scare you off…”

Reo sighs, nuzzling closer, “Because I don’t want you to be alone. . . I don’t want you hurting inside. . . And I’m scared of what you may do when you’re alone. . .”

Lixian rolls his eyes, “Like you’d actually care.”

Reo frown, pulling his face away and looking at Lixian. Hurt shone on his face and he looks away, “I do. . .” He mumbles.

Lixian scoffs, “Yeah right.”

Reo huffs, pressing his face into Lixian’s chest, “Why else do you think I put up with you? That slap was hard enough to bruise someone without my condition.”

Lixian goes quiet for a moment, then grumbles, “As I said. You’re needy. You’re probably just desperate for a relationship.”

Reo huffed, “I could easily find someone who didn’t abuse me and use my love to his advantage.” He sighs, “Or, at least someone who would say sorry and love me back. . .” He whispers.
