Harold growls, “I don’t care. Don’t you dare go back to that boy.”

He lifts his head, “Papa!”

He shakes his head. “No buts.”

Reo bites his lip, tears forming in his eyes as he pulls his shirt on and pushes past his father, going to his room and slamming the door.

Harold sighs.

Julia knocks on Reo’s door after a while, “Sweetie…?”

“Go away!” He whimpers.

Julia sighs, standing outside the door. “Baby…I know your father can be…well- strict…to say the very least. But he just wants to protect you…he loves you.”

He pulls his knees to his chest, staring at the floor, “I don’t care! I’m a big kid, I can take care of myself! I don’t need papa telling me who I can and can’t see just because I have a few bruises!”

Julia sighs, “Baby…your father went through things too…and he fears that you’ll go through the same thing…he’s strict because he loves you…all he wants to do is protect his son.”

Reo goes silent, pulling his knee’s closer, “Still! I can take care of myself!”

Julia nods, “I know, baby…but me and your father love you…we only want you to be happy and safe…”

Reo stays quiet, “I am safe. Like I said, I just fell.” He sighs.

Julia sighs. “Baby…I know you didn’t just fall…”

“JUST LEAVE IT ALONE! I am fine, Mam.” He presses his forehead into his knees.

After a moment, he gets up, walking out of his room, silent and walks past his mom, “I’m leaving. I don’t know when I’ll be back.” He mutters.

Julia frowns, then nods. “Okay…I love you, baby…”

Reo sighs, “I love you, Mam. . .” He walks towards the door.

Reo pockets his phone, walking back to Lixian’s place and walks inside quietly.
