Lata looked around carefully to be sure she wasn't followed. Witches generally weren't well known, and if anyone she knew found out, it might get her in trouble. Lucky for tonight, witches and wizards could meet up and be free to be themselves. She may end up being the youngest who is able to go by themself, but she didn't care. Not even Lata could resist this chance.
Elentiya grinned, rushing through the darkness. She couldn’t wait for the meeting, to be able to be open about who she was. In her excitement, she bumped into a young girl. “Oh, I’m sorry!”

Lata tumbled forward slightly, but managed to catch herself. Someone had bumped into her from behind. Turning around, she got a decent look at who it was. It was dark, but from what she could tell the girl seemed friendly. And quite pretty actually.
"Nah, it's cool." She replied, giving a half smile in return.
“Still, I’m sorry. I was just really excited,” she said, smiling sheepishly. Reddish sparks burst out of her hands, and she shoved them into her pockets quickly.

Lata's smile grew seeing the flashes of red magic. Ignoring the second apology, she continued, "No, no, don't hide it. Tonight is all about letting your magic free to do whatever you want!" To be fair, it was hard to contain her excitement as well. She waved her hand in an arc, a gold-ish glow following the pattern in the air as it gathered together to form small lightning bugs.
"I mean they're just allusions, but hey. Better than being in the dark!"

(I changed her ability and such realizing I needed more variety. Too many of my characters like purple so I needed to change it XDDDD)
Elentiya laughed, pulling her hands back out.

Lata smiled in response, holding out her hand.
"Name's Lata. You?"
“I’m Elentiya,” she said, taking the hand.

She took it and shook it. Not letting go, she began attempting to tug Elentiya along.
"Come on, we can't be late."
She laughed. “Off we go!”

The glowing insects lead the way, Lata pushing branches out of the way. Now that she thinks about it, it may not have been a good idea to trust this girl right away. Then again… why did it matter? She seemed nice and was a witch as well…
Soon, they emerged in a large clearing with some buildings on the edges. Other witches were practicing magic in open spaces, and bright lights flashed from a building labeled Duels. Elentiya gasped. “Oh wow.”

Lata opened her mouth in awe.
I swear, they may have to drag me away when it's over because I'm not gonna wanna leave…
Out of excitement, Lata took her hand back, and began forming small glowing spheres of magic. She then tossed them up into the sky and they exploded into fireworks.
Elentiya’s own red magic swirled around her, taking shapes, almost like little bubbles with faces.

"Hey, I never asked, what kind of magic do you use? You already know I do illusions, heh…"
“I’m a sorceress, so I dabble in everything,” she grinned.

"Huh, neat." She replied as she fell back to lie down and watch the stars. Lata had to push a few strands of her hair out of her face.
“I’m gonna get food, I’llnbe right back!” She said.

A man walked through the woods, leading a small group. “Teenagers having another wild party,” he grumbled, seeing fireworks in the sky.

Another man sighed in annoyance. Stupid kids. It was like, what? 11? Maybe later?
