Tamara felt the bullet graze her behind. She increased her pace: they were outnumbered.
Elentiya stood in front of the toddlers. She had her arms out, and blasted away as many of the policemen as she could.
Tamara let out a bark, calling Elentiya to keep running.
She grabbed the toddlers and started running beside them.

From Tamara's back, Lata lifted a hand and sent illusions running backwards, trying to scare them off.

Appearance: Dark hair, black cat ears and tail, bright blue eyes, lithe build
A man drops from the trees to run alongside them. His eyes illuminate the ground in front of him, reflecting the sparse light. Casting a glance to the kids, and to the men behind them, he curses under his breath. The faint shing of a blade being drawn from a sheath. A flash of silver as the knife hits his skin. As the blood spatter hits the ground behind them the leaves start to tremble, and the dirt starts to rise. Skeletal wolves shake themselves off, throwing themselves at the policemen. The man urges them to keep running.
Tamara herded Elentiya and the toddlers, keeping them in front of her. She came to a familiar clearing and swerved into the trees, hoping they'd follow.
She swerved off to the side, towards her car. “Get in!” She called, frantically unlocking it. “Hold the toddlers, I haven’t got car seats.”
Tamara morphed and climbed into the car. She settled the kids onto her lap and moved over so Lata could come in.

She fell off of Tamara as she shifted back, but quickly stood back up. She jumped into the back and shut the door.

Tamara leaned over the man and slammed the car door shut. "Go, Elentiya, go!"

I do not normally do things like that. My name is Orion, and as you can see I use traditionally 'Dark Magics.' Thank you for not leaving me behind."

Elentiya started driving them away. “Who’s kids are these?” She asked, looking in the mirror.
The man Orion answers. "I…do not know, but it is safe to assume that their parents will be able to find them. Unless, of course….they were unable to escape." His eyes darken with sadness, and his ears seem to droop as he finishes speaking.
