"Pedro, there's a time and a place. Seriously."

Ah, no dogs? Seriously? Havenwood scooted over to the window

"So, Havenwood, would you like Pedro to get you something to drink?" Maria said loudly, indicating quite obviously that she wanted Pedro gone.

"Oh!" He hopped away from the window. "Uh, sure."

Pedro took the hint and ran out of the room.

Havenwood looked around curiously, trying to avoid looking at Maria.

"Sorry about all that."

"That's quite all right." He responded while staring at a nice lamp on a table.

"My family is a bit weird." she added.

Havenwood grinned. "I like them. Apart from their readiness to marry us."

"Haha, yeah."

Havenwood fiddled his fingers and he wondered where her parents were.

"So, how's life?" she said, attempting small talk.

"Ah, I'm immortal. So it pays no difference to me." Havenwood replied politely.

"Right." she said.

"May I ask the same?"

"I'm mortal, so I kinda worry about life a lot." she joked.

Havenwood chuckled. "You'll live a nice life, I'm sure."

"I can only hope."

"Hope is what mortals are good at. It's nice to hear that from someone living a life such as yours." His eyes flashed with respect for her as he glanced over.

"Ah, yeah. I guess." she smiled.

Havenwood nodded and grinned back.

"What's it like, Olympus? I never get to see it fully." Maria asked.

"You'll be able to. It's… really grand. There's a flight of steps leading up that leads to separate God's rooms depending on how important they are. Then there are all of the minor Gods such as myself that mill around at the bottom of the staircase…"

"That sounds amazing." Maria said.

"It is. And I'd love it if it weren't for the majority of the Gods being so stuck up." Havenwood sighed.

"Well, maybe you could talk some sense into them."

"I wish I could, but since I'm so…" He sighed. "Minor they don't listen to me much."

"You're not minor to me."
