Notes

The TARF is estimated to have been built in the late Degeration Period or even into the Post-Great Empire Period by either The Great Empire remnants or even a proto Porcine Republic . The origional purpose of the facility is unknown, but it appears that at least part of it was dedicated to the production of AI Supercomputers using Pulsefuel. To this end, only one example, Soborek (Netskoe), is known to exist. Soborek (Netskoe) had software that made him emulate more life-like capabilities and was assigned to be the puppet governor of Shkalis. This is discovery challanged the timeline of the The Great Empire demise and raised questions about the technological gap between relatively close systems during the Degeneration Period.

In recent history, it was used by the Porcine Republic to research Pulsefuel weaponization options. The Porcine Republic used the facility to refine weapon-grade Pulsefuel for use in the PIPD Cannon.

Following the Point Insertion Pulse Detonation Event , the workers and researchers of the facility fought over dwindling supplies. At least one spacecraft tried to escape but was destroyed by mines in the system. Stranded and without resupply, all occupants of the facility were dead by 2 API.

In 6 API, Devellion Dayt and ANBIS arrive to the system. ANBIS plots a safe course to the facility and the two arrive without incident. They discover what remains of the former occupants and explore the facilty. Devellion Dayt discovers the AI manufacturing facility and finds an advanced, almost complete android body. They finish it and transfer ANBIS into it, and upgrade him as much as possible. ANBIS accidentally discovers Soborek (Netskoe) while testing his capabilites. He learns about Shkalis, but he and Devellion Dayt decide to keep it a secret from the GRU and tell no one. Devellion Dayt learns as much as he can about Pulsefuel before he leaves.

Since the defenses are the facility are still active, no one can safely enter the facility without a supercomputer like ANBIS.
