History
Born to Maril during her captivity in the Forsaken Union, Andromeda was immediately identified an Apokruphos, which drew the attention of the Forsaken Union's top ranking scientists and engineers. Awoosen took notice and immediately branded the infant as a future Angel in the hopes she would one day escape and become a grand protector. The baby was taken from her mother and placed under the care of the FS medical team, who sustained her until she was old enough for the Union to begin Project Nova, which involved using her and a handful of slightly weaker Celesten half-breeds as energy sources, as well as subjecting them to torturous experimentation in an attempt to isolate the gene that creates Apokruphos. The child was given the name Betelgeuse by the heads of the project, and her "conditioning" began. For years the Union used her power for a number of purposes, many of which involved powering numerous machines involved in the experimentation on her fellow test subjects, meaning she had to watch as many of her friends were killed during these experiments. Many test subjects died, but Betelgeuse persisted, holding on to the hope that she would someday be free. Soon, that day came, as one of the nurses who raised her felt remorse and sorrow for Betelgeuse, and realized that she had become like a daughter to her. Planning with some of her supporters and some FS defectors on the outside, the nurse set her plans into motion, and orchestrated an escape, where she could take Betelgeuse somewhere safe and live in peace. The plan went awry, however, and the Forsaken Union learned of her treachery. She had no choice but to stay behind and await whatever fate was to befall her, while her team of outsiders extracted Betelgeuse. She then gave her adoptive daughter the name Andromeda, and sent her away with these words: "You are a star, and stars belong in the sky." the newly-named Andromeda escaped, but the horrors she endured had finally caught up to her, and she snapped, nearly forming a Quasar that could have obliterated her and the escapees. Awoosen intervened, and suppressed her memory of the Forsaken Union's horrors, along with all memory of her surrogate mother. All that remained was a name, vague and blurry visions of her suffering, and the feeling that she belonged somewhere wonderful.
Minimal, even less than Sil, Annie taught her as much as she could
