A nasally voice accompanies his uptight mannerisms. He stands too straight and sits too perfectly, and speaks as if he knows everything. He is overcompensating, and when called out, he turns red very quickly.

A loathing for the father that disowned him, a thirst for knowledge, and a need to protect those he cares about.

Very high emotional walls make him hard to approach or care for at all. He can be too blunt sometimes and has a tendency to hurt feelings or otherwise rub people the wrong way.

Hates pirates. Hates alcohol. Hates smoking, dirty people, people that swear frequently.

Haughty, snooty, curt, and judgmental for the most part, but when he succumbs to caring for people, he is the fiercest and most loyal protector one could ask for. He can be blunt and uptight and often comes off strong. His walls are high, but when they come down, Simon can be gentle and stoic.

Simon Woods is a difficult man to tolerate, much less befriend. He tends to think that he is better than others, though he is humbled always by his colleagues, Dr Oswald and Lydia Marks. He is headstrong when it comes to arguing fact over fiction or superstition, and he often has a contempt for company. He has a level of class and propriety when he speaks, though he is not wealthy or belonging to any upper-class origin. He'd like to be, and he acts as though he is. Characteristically observant and investigative, noticing things that don't seem right. Paranoid.

Well-educated. Tutored from a young age, Simon excelled in science above all. He pursued higher education in the medical field and teaches first and second year medical students epidemiology and some poisonous plants.

He keeps this to himself. He is an incredibly private person. The single person who he trusts to help him bear his burdens is Dr. Cornelius Oswald, and later in the story, Elian Arrow.
