Born during a lunar eclipse Lunaris has always been a cherished child thought to be a gift from the gods, furthering his parents belief in the gods. Due to this he's had a very sheltered upbringing, his parents or servants always watching or hovering nearby should anything happen or he want for something. Growing up in such a way was annoying, always having to echo his parents sentiments and act pious in his "belief" of the gods. Though he kept up the pious and perfect kind prince act in private the prince finally lets go.

It was at seventeen when he finally built up the courage to sneak out and act like any other person. It was exhilarating, getting to blend in with people without them bowing and avoiding eye contact, to be just any other person was a thrill he'd grow to latch on to.
In his second outing his excitement would blind him and get him into a bad situation with a group of thugs, things would've gone entirely wrong if his savior didn't show up; A bounty hunting gunslinger woman by the name of Cassandra. From there Lunaris would latch onto the woman despite her clearly showing that she wanted nothing to do with him, somehow finding her every time he snuck out. For she was his saving grace, his canary in the coal mine, his reluctant and forced protector.
