Circus Performer

Leon was born to Jareth and Arabelle Lapine and is the younger brother to Silas and Elena.
When he was nine, an incident had occurred within the circus, resulting in the death of his parents. Elena and Leon himself had both witnessed the incident but they suffered from amnesia afterward, and could not recall what had happened.
The circus dabbled in dark magic and stole valuable items, of which Leon was unaware of for a time, due to it being kept a secret from him. His older siblings were tasked with stealing a rare dragon egg, and Leon was put on the mission with them. They were successful in stealing it, but hours after returning to their camp, police officers raided the circus camp and began arresting the members.
During the commotion, many were injured or killed, and Leon himself was shot in the chest, though survived and was merely knocked unconscious. Hours later, Leon woke up in the ruins of the circus, surrounded by the bodies of the few that had been killed. He had been saved by a charm he had kept in his vest pocket. The bullet had torn a hole in his shirt but had become lodged into the wooden charm.
Leon went to the prison the circus members were being kept and discovered from his brother that Elena had been one of the few to have escaped.
He ran into his friend Whiz, who had escaped (and survived) the commotion with the circus. The two follow Silas' instructions and sets off to find Elena and any other circus members that had escaped.

Leon and Whiz end up in the Forest of the Mist after weeks of traveling and become separated and lost in there. Leon faints due to exhaustion and is rescued by Robin, a huntress living in the forest, and Lewis, a Knight of the infamous Emerald Knights. They help reunite him with Whiz, and they continue their quest to find Elena
