He met Jocelyn Azalo Safran when he was in 3rd grade. He meet her when she and a friend were being harassed by a pick-me girl and her boyfriend. They became friends and stayed friends throughout middle and high school.
When they were 13, they started dating and dated till she went to live with her parents. He was depressed for a while, but with some pushing, went into therapy and got better.
He graduated high school and went into college
