The possibility of her being a deliberately-engineered transhuman can't be ruled out. The possibility that they were originally designed to be a super-soldier and went against the plan can't be ruled out. One way or another: she doesn't talk about it.

At one point, I gave them a naughty little multilegged space fuzzball (sort of a badger/jaguarundi/corgi/linsang/velvet worm combo) named "Disaster."
