An interesting fact about the Valtaire family is that every female in the family is primarily Japanese, and Akari is no exception. Kalseik and Thulsa were kidnapped years ago, and were presumed dead until Misaki’s charge, Aerallis and sister Ilosti, confirmed their deaths in Ma’luum. Akari was kidnapped a few months after them.

In the outside world, Misaki dedicated her life to protecting Aera’s. Tatsumi and Haruka were shaken by the news. Thalum had passed before the news, and combined, it was too much for Haruka to bear. Aunt Yumi, also heartbroken, took her last surviving son back to Japan. With Aera dead, Yomi estranged and Akari still missing, Misaki and the rest of the family scrambled.

Akari reconnected with her family a few months after the reine left Ma'luum, and has been in contact since. But some time ago, Misaki went radio silent during a job in Snow Haven, Alaska. She is presumed dead. Akari looked into the incident in the woods but was unable to find anything, and went back home to her wife.

She married into the Bloodmare family.
