Basically he was just a normal guy before he got captured by a cult, being used as a host for this strange, seemingly alive mask. When put on him it literally fused with his face, taking over his mind before killing and eating all of the cult members in a cannibalistic rage. Strangely, the mask arranged the carcasses in chairs around a big table, making it seem like a dinner with family as it st at the hed of the table. It ate everyone who dared investigate (After a nice battle of course) Eventually Kramxon and a few others arrived in the dimension and came to investigate strange claims of a cannibalistic psycho. Inside they found Squid, still being controlled by the mask, and they promptly defeated it and removed the mask only to find a scared and confused Squid. Sensing potential, Kramxon found a way to make the mask more docile before persuading Squid to join the show and use the mask in his acts. Not knowing what to do, he agreed.
