Overview
Oakley Evans.
Oaks, Nosebleed.
Trans female.
Late teens.
Her voice is similar to Violet from the Incredibles, and she has a very distinct giggle-snort laugh.
Looks
125 lbs.
5’6”.
Naturally brown, she dyes it blonde. She rarely touches up her roots because she likes the look of it.
Her hair is straight at the root, getting curly at the end. It’s just above her shoulders, but gets longer when she straightens it, which is often. The hair itself is a bit damaged because of all the stuff she puts it through.
Greyish hazel.
Light olive-ish tan.
Oakley is thin and sort of lanky, with “knobby” knees and elbows.
Oakley has three moles, one under her eye and two on her lower cheek. She has a longer face and nose, as well as long legs. Her eyes are a bit close together.
Oakley dresses in colorful clothes, usually green, purple or pink. She likes collared shirts, anything that shows off her legs, crew socks and chunky sneakers. She also has a habit of sharing clothes with her boyfriend, and matching with him because they’re one of Those Couples.
Nature
Oakley talks with her hands, gesturing and shaking and flapping about. She has a very “weird goofy stupid middle school quirky” sense of humor, and often dances in place or makes dumb poses for a laugh, then ends up doing it out of habit. She also says hashtag and text abbreviations out loud. Ironically, you hope, but you never really know with her.
Oakley doesn’t really have any plans for after school, just drifting and having fun. Her grades are high, and she intends to just take a bit of time to figure everything out.
Despite her energy, Oakley hides a lot about herself. At first glance, she appears stolid and almost cold to many. However, even talking to her for a minute you can see she’s very excitable and friendly. Despite this, she rarely lets people get to know the real her. She has so very many layers, and she shoves her feelings down far too often, making her decisions seem irrational and her real emotions unreadable.
Her sense of humor can also come off as juvenile and annoying, with fart jokes, your mom jokes, and general foolishness. Her relationship with Bailey Charlton. also grosses people out, since they’re all about PDA and being sappy in public.
Other than her superb phone photography, Oakley is a natural mood maker around people she knows, always bubbly and giggling and full of life. Even to strangers, who usually assume she’s cold, she can easily make you feel as though you’ve known her for years. She also has a knack for math and the sciences, but she doesn’t really want to pursue a career in either.
Oakley is into photography, but not in the way of cameras and nature pictures. She likes to take pictures of both herself and her friends for social media, and somehow always finds the perfect places to pose, illegal or not. She’s very picky about her feed and who she follows. She also has pretty “dorky” interests, like retro cartoons and video games, not to mention tabletop RPGs.
ENFP-T.
Magic allergy. When exposed to particularly strong or large amounts of magic, she experiences symptoms such as sniffles, sore throat, nosebleeds, sinus headaches and fatigue. It’s a common allergy, so she takes medicine for it.
“Punches you so hard. Punches you again. I am punching you SO hard right now, dude.”
“Hashtag currently causing issues on purpose.”
Social
She’s not particularly religious, but acknowledges the gods’ existence and celebrates the solstices casually.
Occasionally she gets sent products by brands so she can post about how great they are and how her few thousand followers should buy them. She calls herself a model and an influencer jokingly, but technically she is those things, albeit small.
Spring green and purple.
Anything aesthetically pleasing. She especially loves to take pictures with colorful smoothies and coffees in trendy cafés.
She collects cans, bottles, and other trash that she finds cute, like a pink soda can or a bottle cap with a smiley face on it.
Colorful ones, like birds, lizards, and fish.
History
October 15th.
High school.
Due to her bad allergies, her parents relocated from the city to the worse off side of town. Magic and magical fumes are less common in low population low income areas. Despite putting on a perfect family front, Oakley’s mother is a cheater and her father is prone to screaming about this and that. However, their aggression never turns Oakley’s way, only focused on fighting with each other. Deep down they truly do want what’s best for their “little girl.”
Though a divorce would probably help everyone, her parents insist on staying together for her. If only they knew how much she wants them to stop pretending so they could all be happier. She’s a bit of a hypocrite though, putting on a giggly persona herself even when she’s feeling bummy. She tends to feel responsible for others feelings, and is definitely one of those kids who thinks they caused their parent’s soon to be divorce. Even if she puts on that facade sometimes, she is a genuine optimist, and tries to see the best in others.
New girl in town, she didn’t really make friends, only passing acquaintances. That is until she met Agony.. When she’s tired of the yelling at home, she takes late night trips to the convenience store around the block, drowning her sorrows in a green apple slushie. Agony and his little band of merry men tend to hang around there as well, and he, tactful as ever, started up conversation with a crying Oakley by saying, “your nose is bleeding into your slushie. Can I have some?” And somehow, it cheered her up and sent her into a fit of snotty giggles. The rest is pretty much history. Agony introduced her to her now boyfriend, Bailey Charlton., and the rest of her friends. Her parents are still big fans of screaming while she tries to do science homework, but she’s more content now that she has people to rely on.
Family
An angelfish named Jubilee.
