Juniper is motivated to serve. He sees servantry as the only thing he is good at, and therefore works to better himself even more in that field.

Although Juniper has given up serving in the name of evil, he still occasionally flips to his servant mannerisms when he's upset. He also has a tendency of bossing others around as a coping mechanism; when he feels as if he's lost control of a person or situation, he tries to regain that control under any circumstance.

He has a grudge against the Joestars, primarily because he served someone with that same grudge, therefore causing it to rub off on him.

Former servant of DIO, Luca found him via a story Giorno told him (the story having been told to Giorno by Jotaro when they finally met). Juniper was tossed between foster families from a young age, up until he found out about DIO and his prior invention of Stands. He set up a meeting with DIO thereon, and the two arranged a deal involving Juniper becoming his servant. DIO also mentioned his status as a vampire to Juniper, and Juniper himself offered to become one as well so that he could forever serve DIO. DIO agreed to the offer and turned Juniper into a vampire via a blood transfer (which also, in turn, gave Juniper his Stand because the cells in DIO's blood have been found to awaken Stands in those who have it in their bloodstream). Once DIO was defeated by Jotaro, Juniper's servantry immediately ended, seeing DIO's defeat brought on by a 17-year-old to be the dealbreaker at that point (similar to Secco when Ciocolata was eliminated in part 5). Juniper now uses his vampiric abilities, Stand powers, and servantry skills to help Luca and his friends whenever it is required of him.

Ticking, when activated, can fast forward and rewind time (the limit for fast fowarding is 24 hours into the future, and the limit for rewinds is up to 24 hours into the past). It can also pause time for 10 seconds.
