He was put in the MTP base when he was twelve, they mandate daily classes (Math, science, social studies, health, English, weapons training)

and they offer extra lessons which are only mandatory if you don't know how to do them, then they will only be mandated until you pass after a year. (Swimming, health, cooking, art, engineering, piloting, weapons combat)

His father was already married to Kora René, but He cheated on her with Aria Maar. Zach was born with her Jet black hair and the coloring of her eyes. She had died when he was five, so he went straight to live with his father, who Zach had never met, and Andromeda his half-sister, who was eleven at the time. Zach thought that he would finally have a friend, but Andromeda despised him. Kora left her husband, and daughter, and moved back to her homeland.

for years he had endured her taunts and tortures. She told him that this was how all siblings treat each other, so he let her torment him: push him into the pool when she knew he couldn’t swim. Make him pretend to be a house staff when all her friends came over. She would strike him when he didn’t obey her. One time, Zach wouldn’t hit one of Andromeda’s friends, who had angered her, so she threw a knife at him, luckily he had ducked, but it still nicked Zach’s eyebrow, he now has a scar. All those years he did her bidding until he was twelve, and Andromeda had gone to college.

He then was sent to the school, because his father couldn’t take care of him, being the general's son, he got special treatment. Zach feared the worst but was pleasantly surprised. He was free, no one struck him, no one tortured him, no one forced him to do unthinkable stunts. Zach enjoyed becoming someone people feared, he enjoyed being respected.
