Faunus [Spider] Traits: Spinnerets and kinesthetic sense. Spinnerets allow Roman to make webs allowing him to swing around the battlefield and to trap enemies. His kinesthetic sense is fantastic, his body often moves without him thinking too much which allows him to focus more on any task at hand.
Pale, like a ghost. Roman doesn’t spend a lot of time outside.
Lithe and skinny
Roman can be spotted by his headphones, as well as his trusty sidekick, Q, floating by.
Nature
Roman’s head is constantly bobbing to music. One will rarely find the young faunus without headphones around his neck or on his ears. In fact most of his focus and poise is derived by the steady beats coming through his headphones. Without music Roman is a huge clutz, if he doesn’t have music he can usually save himself by working on something or tinkering. If Roman is comfortable he exudes a sense of superiority. It’s not enough that he knows he’s smart, he has to prove it to everyone in the room.
His sole purpose to become a Huntsman is so that he can go back to Atlas and kill the Grimm that attacked his father.
Roman is...distant. While not unfriendly to people he doesn’t make any attempts to connect with others. He wears a fake smile and focuses on his studies and training to get him through this time at Beacon. When it comes to combat he is not the strongest and tries to make up for that in pure speed. Also if it comes to Grimm he gets tunnel vision and will rush headlong into danger.
Despite Atlas treating his family like second class citizens, Roman does not think that all humans think they’re better than him. However he holds a deep resentment for anyone from Atlas.
Spectacularly fast and sneaky, fantastic dancer, impressive sleight of hand and acrobatic. Also good at tinkering with things. With music constantly in his ears Roman can read lips extremely accurately.
Roman dances and sings in his spare time. In fact if he doesn’t have class he’s probably dancing to his next one. If he’s in a bad mood then he’s working on gadgets or helping other students work on their weapons.
Despite the hardships he has faced early on Roman is a fairly relaxed guy and just wants to do his best. He puts on a big face for others around him and tries to be a joker, but in reality he's actually quite upset that his father is dead and his mother won't give her blessing for the career choice he made. The constant listening of music helps keep him out of his own head and makes it easier to be the life of the party, he even listens to music while he sleeps to keep bad dreams away. Roman keeps his walls high and hasn't really processed the death of his father that well. While he doesn't hate humans if he suspects that he's being treated differently by a human because he's a Faunus, Roman gets angry and defensive, shutting that person out.
Roman is a whiz when it comes to technology and weapons. He spends a lot of time planning upgrades and paths that things can go.
Social
Huntsman-in-training.
Anything sweet, Roman is a sucker for sweets.
Roman keeps the first headphones that his mother gave him on his person at all times.
Roman fixes and upgrades tech that comes his way. He actually has a small side business he runs on the weekends called Spinel Industries.

History
1/16
Homeschooled at first, Roman ended up going to Signal.
Born in Atlas, Roman didn’t exactly have it easy. He and his parents lived in Mantle and they didn’t live well. His father, Percy, struggled to make sure there was enough food on the table and his mother, Sill, tried to homeschool Roman since they didn’t have the money to send him to the academy. Roman was happy though, he didn’t need money or anything fancy. His mother was a big fan of music and shared her collection with him and he got lost in it. On his fourth birthday they got him a pair of headphones so he could listen to music at night when he slept. These headphones however were taken by the local bullies around his neighborhood, humans of course, and they destroyed them in front of him saying that Faunus children shouldn't have anything special if they didn't get anything special. This was Roman's first run-in with racism. He learned that some people viewed him as less than a human. His father took a job offer in Atlas that was supposed to pull them out of their life and they moved. For a while things weren’t that bad and they were even given Scrolls as part of the job. Roman wasted no time in downloading hundreds of music files and spent his free time swinging around Atlas listening to music. However not everything can be good forever and during one of his father’s outings for the one of the companies for Atlas his work team was ambushed by Grimm and killed.
His mother was distraught and Atlas only gave them enough lien to stay where they were for a few months. Taking the money and heading to Vale, Roman and his mother set up there. Roman was angry at Atlas for not doing anything about his father’s death, but was also angry at himself for not being able to do anything about it, even though he was only ten at the time. Unbeknownst to his mother he joined Signal Academy to start his training as a Huntsman. He was able to keep this secret from his mother for a while, but she eventually found out and they had a huge fight. Sill obviously didn’t want to lose her son and Roman wanted to avenge his father by fighting Grimm. After the fight he moved into Signal Academy’s dorms and stopped talking to his mom. When he graduated he went to see her for her blessing to attend Beacon, but she still refused and with a heavy heart he told her that he wouldn’t see her again till after he graduated from Beacon.

Weapon
Roman’s weapon is...extravagant by most standards. Roman’s weapon is a full suit that covers him from head to toe. The tips of his fingers have claws on them that allow him to rip and tear into Grimm. He can put dust into the suit and channel it into the claws allowing for elemental attacks.
SUIT
A suit that protects Roman from attacks. It has reinforced armor on his forearms and legs to help reduce the shock of blows when he attacks.
The tips of the SUIT’s fingers and toes sharpen, allowing Roman to add slashing and piercing attacks to his moveset. They also allow him to climb walls and ceilings.
Since Roman is not overly strong, he uses his speed and webs to his advantage. Using hit and run tactics he can wear down opponents with a barrage of hits before they realize what’s actually hitting them.
While SUIT can use most forms of dust, Roman tries to keep lighting dust on him at all times. However refilling the SUIT is a long process so using too much dust is something Roman tries to avoid. The suit has two small holes on the shoulders that allow the refill to take place. The dust moves through the small tubes lining the insides of the suit and allows Roman to augment his attacks.
Semblance
Arc Reactor
The ability to create, manipulate, absorb, redirect, and otherwise use lighting as an attack or other form of defense.
Evoker, Utility
Roman’s hands glow a very dark orange, with little bolts streaking off him. The same goes to his feet if he plans to use it as a speed boost or a jump boost. If he absorbs too much, like a lethal amount, you can actually see his skeleton as all the energy pulses through his body wanting an outlet.
Dark orange
Varies in range
Roman can only absorb a finite amount of lighting. Too much and it will start to fry his inner organs. Obviously if an opponent has something to ground themselves then his electricity is useless. He tries not to create lighting too much as that burns through his aura very quickly and leaves him winded, so he keeps an abundance of lighting dust on him as a work around.
