Zandra was born to her mother in a cell under City 2. She was raised in that cell and when she became old enough, she was taken away to learn to be a breeding mother. Her first partner moved too fast and scared her. They replaced him with another, Hirudo. It took some convincing, but Zandra eventually agreed to escape with Hirudo. In City 3, she becomes good friends with the four and takes on the role as Princess' older sister. She needs help learning things and zones out often due to some experimentations to her brain, but she enjoys exploring the new city. She is taught self defense and picks up the use of a sword. Unknown to her, her body contains a special component that is the key to ending the Curists' rule.

Zandra was born to a breeder under City 2 with a twin sister. She was raised and taught to be ready for her day of renewal where she’s merged with her chosen animal and mechanical parts to help the process and is sent to live out her life in City 1 while her sister lives the same life but fully human and in the prestigious highlands of City 2. However, before her procedure, Zandra gets wind of her sister’s untimely death. Because she is still obedient to the Curists she is given the opportunity to become a breeder herself to which she gladly accepts and eventually meets Hirudo who persuades her to escape to City 3 where she makes friends and learns that the Curists aren’t all they’re cracked up to be. She zones out, has a less than average memory, and loves to explore the city. She is even taught self defence and picks up the use of a sword that she uses to take down the Curists.
