Musically, he's solid. He has a great singing voice, comes up with interesting melodies. He falls flat with songwriting. He's not good at that. He was a theatre kid. It's like when Santino Fontana tried to be grungy that one time in CXG

-Born to middle class family in Buffalo NY. Dad was an accountant, mom stayed home. Older brother Reed is a lawyer now.
-Met Matt Wood in second grade. Best friends.
-Was a band and theatre kid in high school
-Attends culinary school in Buffalo or Upstate New York, moves to NYC with Matt around 22.
-Forms the band that would become Through the Trees with Matt and 2 other dudes.
-Meets Amanda Goodfriend, another young musician, she is deeply troubled, but he falls hard for her. Their relationship is passionate and messy. Amanda is into some fucked up shit.
-Amanda com. Ro's not really the same after she dies.
-Meets April Axe
3 years later. He quickly develops a thing for her but after Amanda, he's pretty hesitant to do anything about it.
-Matt and Ro begin to clash about the direction they want to take their band after years of being on the same page.
-A chance meeting at a bar with April leads to a one-night stand which leads to a casual FWB leads to a serious relationship. April's career starts to take off in the background.
-April's success starts to weigh on Ro after Matt Wood leaves the band for the final time. He's almost thirty and still struggling, thinking of leaving the music behind. He starts to lash out at April. The relationship is strained.
-Rowan deletes an email from a record company offering April a spot on tour for a larger band, to keep her on his level for as long as he can. When they contact her a few months later, right before New Year's she accepts and realizes what he did. She breaks up with him.
- He spirals hard, begging her to give him another chance, she's the best thing that ever happened to him, he made a mistake. The final straw is when he sneaks into one of her shows and gets wasted, then confronts her and begs her one more time to give him another chance. She loses her temper and goes off on him, threatening to take out a restraining order on him if he tries to talk to her again. She storms off and Rowan is approached by Jimmy McGee who offers him some drugs (molly, cocaine, acid) but instead embraces him.
-He stays with Jimmy for a little while, as he tries to get used to his new condition. After he's on his own again, he's even more hopeless and lost than before. His fate at this time is undetermined. Here are some things I might have happen to him though:
-One day he is attack at random by a nosferatu and turns to Davey Douglas for help fighting and controlling his new powers.
-One year after his embrace, he is using The Dating Apps to feed on unsuspecting girls, including Hailey Marsh
