Drake is very friendly, cheerful and stubborn. Althought he's not traded good by the others because of his color, he always try to be a nice guy, and if the person doesn't like him at all, he doesn't care about it because he knows that's not important, he knows that a friend is someone rare to exist, and he's very pround and happy with the "fewer" friends that he has. (This "fewer" thing, is more than enought to him). So, friends comes in the first place for him. It's kind difficult to see Drake with angry. But if you mess with his friends, I bet you'll see a different Drake. Basically, he wouldn't even think for the the first time making any kind of sacrifice to protect his friends. Ah, if you decide to call him for an adventure, pease, put some adrenaline on it, he loves.

Drake's egg was kidnapped by Orio to not be destroyed by the killers. Once, Kyruu, another purple dragon, caused much pain and sufer for everyone (that's what they say). In this case, a mandate was delivered, to kill every single purple dragon. And those who couldn't kill a dragon, just feeded the prejudice about purple dragons. Since Drake was born, he's being running and hiding to not be judged nor to start a fight till death, even after meeting Mikasa and becoming Scaleborn (a very powerful bond that allow each other to share the heart, elements and souls). In that night, his adventure begins.

Drake doesn't know who were his parents. And it doesn't see to bother him once he got his friends as his new family.

Once, Drake forced his own body to grow faster in oder to protect Mikasa (in a fight against Blure). That's why he has unfinishing marks on his chest. He didn't allow his body to have any time for the tranformation.
