Everyone just calls him Jay to the extent that fans think that's his real name. (Boy, wouldn't they LOVE to know he's got a secret OTHER name!)

Fairly angular, with definable cheekbones and a sharp chin.

Fairly thick eyebrows that are always slightly raised, making him look interested and happy pretty much all the time

Crease lines at the edges of his eyes from smiling and laughter. Even when he's not smiling with his mouth, his eyes give him away.

A wide mouth, most often seen in a full grin or wide smile. Excellent teeth.

Fair

Tall, athletic and solid. Not particularly muscular but has fairly strong legs and arms. Average weight for a guy his age.

Small scar on his forehead from falling down the apartment stairs as a kid.

Loves oversized shirts. Hardly feels the cold so will 100% wear short sleeves and legs in the depths of winter. Not the best at putting outifts together and will honestly just grab whatever's at the top of the wardrobe - doesn't care about colour co-ordination or what looks good together. Typically wears t-shirts, jeans, jackets, hoodies - just things that aren't too tight-fitting and can go with anything. His favourite colours to wear are white, yellow, blue and green.

This man CANNOT stand still. He does have fairly good posture when standing up though, not slumped or slouched at all.

When he's sitting down it's a different story. Jay has never sat in a chair normally in his life.

- eyes dart around the room

He's one of my most open-minded characters, to be honest. Always willing to give someone the benefit of the doubt and to be honest, probably a little too trusting.

Jay is literally a big ball of sunshine. He just loves life and new experiences and spending time with his friends and he wants everyone else to be happy as well. He's super optimistic and always looks on the bright side of things, whether that be trying something new, meeting a new person, or being stuck in a bad situation. Whatever it is, Jay will somehow put a positive spin on it.

In a lot of ways, he's as stubborn as his best friend Aris 'Roon' Aruni, but it manifests differently. While Roon tends to be stubborn in an argument, Jay's stubborn streak shows itself as quiet persistence. He's not the smartest or incredibly intelligent, but he will stick at something until he can somewhat passably do it. He knows he isn't amazing at a lot of them, but he just wants to find something that he's good at, and he enjoys doing new stuff.

The dark and pretty dodgy Corellian suburbs are not the usual place to find someone as stubbornly optimistic as Jay, since the regular crime and general dinginess of the place tends to sap a person's faith in humanity as well as require a certain degree of wariness and cynicism. Jay retained his perpetual enthusiasm for life thanks to his friendship with Roon, his music-filled and bright household, and his tendency to find the most ordinary things cool or beautiful. He's far from naive when it comes to the dangers of the Corellian streets, but he just chose to believe that the rest of the galaxy would be better.

Luth and Jhiri Ke'var:
Jay's mums moved to Corellia when Jay was 6 in order to escape growing tension between rival clans on their home planet of Mandalore. Jay was close to both his parents: Luth was more distant as her mental health suffered after leaving her home, but she did share her love of music with Jay and taught him to sing, while Jhiri would be the one Jay pestered to play imaginary games with him. Jay loved both his mums a lot, and when he started earning money with the band, would send most of it home so his parents could maybe upgrade the flat and live a bit more comfortably. He also hoped Luth could maybe take some time off work and get some medical care for her mental health issues.

Jay loves his 'real' family more than he can even really say, but he also believes family can be the one you make yourself.
