Technically, as the daughter of a Baronet, Catrina holds no courtesy titles that she can be referred by, and is therefore known as 'Miss Haviland' or 'Miss Catrina' rather than the title of 'Lady' or 'Dame'.

She is incredibly keen to do whatever is necessary to hold a title for herself.

Cat or Kitty is a pet name used among her family and close friends.

As a noble lady, minor though her House may be in the gentry, Catrina's role is dual - one is that of a socialite, a lady-in-waiting among the Queen's court during the social season, and the other is that of a diplomat, assisting her brother with her father's affairs in Kingsbury

Catrina is from the city of Reigate, a prosperous port city within the province of Adelsberg under the domain of the Dukes of House Kaiser.

Catrina's body is the product of the blessings of a noble life of corsets and figure training. She is all soft curves, her bosom and hips accentuated by a slim waist. There is, notably, not much by way of muscle.

Her hair has natural curls, kept to about the length of her center back when it's all brushed out. Her hair is always styled in whatever the latest fashion trend is for the time, whether that be braids or buns or intricate designs; along with accessories such as ribbons, pins, flowers, jewelry, and whatever else adorning.

Catrina is always decked out in whatever the finery and fashion is of the day, generally also dripping in the jewels that show off the wealth of House Haviland. She is prepared to change her outfit up to four times a day as required by the different times of day and events at court.

That being said, she also enjoys being a trendsetter in her own way, and likes to design ladies' clothes, and either works with her favorite clothier shops or sews models for some of the less intricate pieces herself.

Catrina is pale in the way most redheads are, so any markings are plainly visible to see. That being said, the only real prominent markings are freckles, scattered all across her body and primarily across the bridge of her nose and the tops of her cheeks.

She is blessed from the life of a noble lady and therefore is mostly all soft skin, without callouses or scars. However, she does have two distinct marks - the first is a birthmark near her right shoulder blade close to her spine, and the second is a small scar on the underside of her knee from a horse riding accident as a child.

Catrina's life has never been her own. As the eldest daughter, and with 3 older brothers who would have to split the household between them as their inheritance, Catrina has only ever had two goals in life: the first, to carve out a piece of her father's trade empire for herself, and the second, to marry into the royal family.

She was always to be wielded as a tool for her family's gain, and Cat has known nothing else her whole life. Her entire life has been in pursuit of becoming the 'perfect lady'. The daughter who can single-handedly raise House Haviland from its 'humble' roots of a wealthy commoner family into the peerage. If she marries well, so can her sister; if she marries high enough, the peerage titles her father and brothers so desperately seek can be bestowed upon them.

Catrina uses every single tool and resource available to a woman within the Briton kingdom. She is intelligent, well-read, and charming. She can speak three languages fluently, the native language of the Kingdom of Briton and that of its two closest neighbors and allies; as well as holding at least basic conversations with any from any foreign lands who might be a trade partner with House Haviland.

She is an excellent politician and strategist -- she has been a lady-in-waiting in the Queen's court since shortly after her debut and spends most court seasons managing the family affairs in the capital alongside one of her older brothers while her father maintains their estate and holdings in Reigate.

However, Catrina is also known to have a cold attitude with those she dislikes and a hot temper when provoked. She is comfortable exchanging barbed words with a political enemy but can be easily flustered in unexpected situations. She has to have time to think before she acts, or she can shut down and lash out. She works much better behind the scenes or alongside someone else than entirely on her own.

She also has no experience with anything outside of the world of courtly life and politics she was raised in. She has awareness but little understanding of the common folk and knows absolutely no self defense except what is befitting for a lady to know; which is nearly nothing except how to wield a small knife. She can hunt, but only for sport, not for survival. She has never known true danger, or a lack of comfort for longer than a day's ride, on horseback or most often by carriage.

Soft fabrics, little lap dogs, designing dresses, warm summer nights with a soft breeze, reading by firelight, the latest books and novels (the newly growing romance genre within the Kingdom is a secret guilty pleasure of hers)

Mathias di Haviland - Catrina's great-grandfather, the progenitor of the family blood feud with that of their masters, the Dukes Kaiser of Adelsberg. A shrewd sailor and ship's captain, who came into a great deal of wealth and success in the Royal Navy, successfully mastered the docks at Reigate and founded the Haviland Shipping Manifest upon his discharge.

The story within the Haviland family goes, that Master Mathias attempted to offer partnership and negotiation with the then-Duke Kaiser; but Mathias was painted as a brigand and a pirate attempting to seize wealth for himself that rightfully belonged to the Duke's family and the Haviland Shipping Manifest, and the docks of Reigate in general, were taxed heavily for their troubles. So began a decade-long war of attrition within Reigate, ended only by the then-King, in favor of Mathias and his people. The Kaisers have held a torch for their destruction ever since, and the flames have only grown in subsequent generations.

(How much of this story now well over 100 years from its origin is true, no one can say; but it is what House Haviland and the people of Reigate fervently believe.)

Sir Reagan di Haviland - the current Head of House Haviland, Catrina's father. Earned a title of Baronet to act as a stepping stone for the family to finally be included officially as part of the Kingsbury court, even though a Baronet title is not part of the peerage. He is an incredibly successful and savvy businessman but he is no soldier; his tactical skills are with a trade treatise and not a battlefield.

Lady Alicia di Haviland - Catrina's mother. The third daughter of a disgraced House of another province, who was desperate to rebuild her wealth and social status; therefore she was a perfect match for Sir Reagan, and someone who could help take their children into court life in Kingsbury. Active socialite within the city of Reigate and within Kingsbury, Lady Alicia has done her best to ingratiate herself into every single social circle that will have her and her children. Constantly putting on parties and social events to show off the wealth of House Haviland and lavishes gifts upon friends.

Catrina is the eldest daughter, but the fourth born child. She has 3 elder brothers -- Damien, Micah, and Nathaniel -- who are all married, with a nephew and two nieces between them. Then she has a younger sister, Viola, and baby brother Markus, who is but 10.
