Overview
Reap
The Silent One
12 years old, but due to how the clones age he's physically and mentally 24
Cisgender man
CT-5782
The Grand Army of the Republic
The Silent One
Name
Reap was given his nickname by his first squadron as a phonetic shortening of "repeat" due to his tendency to both repeat orders and repeat what other people have said in an attempt to get people to like him. After his squadron was killed, he keeps the name Reap but since no one knows its true origin, they assume it's due to how many droids he mows down in combat.
Looks
Human clone of Mandalorian origin
Tall and somewhat wiry--his time out of combat to recover from his severe injury caused him to lose a lot of muscle but he's gained most of it back. He prefers to stay more lean as opposed to being a brick wall of muscle like Minos
Average
Light brown flecked with scars
6'0"
Black
Brown
A bit longer than the stereotypical clone haircut, and a bit curlier too
None
- Mute, and has scarring on his neck due to the injury that caused it--a thin white line that cuts horizontally across his throat and then six long, jagged scars cutting inward to his Adam's apple, three on each side. The horizontal scar is from a lightsaber and the six diagonal ones are from General Grievous' suffocating grasp
Although there are quite literally millions of men who share Reap's exact genetic code, he has a slightly different air to him than his brothers. He seems to always be wary and on-edge and more thoroughly worn down than his other squadron mates, especially the shinies. His armor is painted heavily with grey and black accenting and he has a black kama with a holster for his pistol and a holster for his knife. His hair is a bit longer and curlier than you'd expect from a man with his armor and his neck is covered with extensive scarring from the injury that left him permanently mute. Even though he's considered to be fully recovered physically, he still has a wary look in his eyes and somewhat hollow looking cheeks.
His helmet is also accented with black and grey, and "Reap" is written in Aurebesh vertically down the back of the top seam--since he can't verbally tell others his name, he can point to that to convey it if he's in a situation with no other options.
Nature
Among his first squadron, Reap was something of an outcast. He was born a smidge weaker than the other clones in his batch and always lagged behind them physically, relying more on stealth and finesse than brute force. He was also something of a pariah--he talked a lot to try and fit in but was considered to be the annoying one amongst his batch and often left out of the closer groups, in part due to the fact that Reap was often pulled out of training as a child to undergo physical testing since he was essentially premature. He gained the nickname "Reap", a phonetic shortening of "Repeat", when one of his brothers heard him repeating a joke he had made to try and endear himself to his batch, which then had the reverse effect. After that Reap drew more into himself, although he still cared for (and was cared for by) his batch.
Things took a turn for the worst when Reap's squadron encountered General Grievous in combat--Grievous cornered the soldiers and picked them off one by one. Reap was the last and Grievous punched him upside the head, knocking his helmet clean off, then hauled him up by the throat, taunting him as he suffocated him before drawing his lightsaber. What should have been a decapitation was instead a shallow slash to the throat as Grievous' arm was pulled back by an arriving Jedi. Grievous threw Reap to the floor and pursued the Jedi, leaving him to struggle for air before passing out cold.
Reap awoke in darkness surrounded by his dead brothers and barely able to breathe, let alone call for help. He was only found when Republic forces returned to identify the bodies and was instantly sent back to Kamino for medical treatment. They saved his life but were not able to salvage his voice as his throat had been so badly damaged in multiple ways. Once he was deemed to be fully recovered, he was put into a different squadron, the 322nd, which was led by first-batcher Ace. The Reap who left the medbay was very different from the Reap who entered that first battle with Grievous, because who can see his brothers slaughtered before his eyes and be the same? Now he's withdrawn and somber, forcibly silent, falling into his outcast past as a defense because if he doesn't care about the members of his squadron, their deaths can't hurt him, right? (Wrong. They're his brothers. They're his brothers. Their deaths can't be anything but painful.) He's also horrifyingly effective in combat. He will allow no Separatist the mercy accidentally afforded to him, to the extent that he frightens a lot of shinies with his intensity.
Reap tries not to show the mental scars of his survival even though the physical scarring marks him clear as day, but he's very on-edge around droids, even friendly R2 units. Coughing, even if it's not metallic like Grievous' cough, can send him spiraling towards a panic attack and complete shutdown, as can a thudding, metallic clang like Grievous' walk and pressure to the throat.
Unlike the vast, vast majority of his brothers, Reap was not affected by the Order 66 chip for one glaring reason: the lack of oxygen to his brain while being suffocated by Grievous essentially short-circuited it and even after Reap was revived it didn't reconnect with him, which has the side effect of intense head pain. Following Order 66, Reap ekes out a living as an assassin-for-hire known only as The Silent One.
