Former corrupt cop, Law had a fallout with the criminal group he was helping, coming face to face with its boss, Gwen. He tried to defect when the group came too close to come in contact with his son, but he knew too much and the group ended up kidnapping his son, to force him to stay.
In a hot-headed attempt to rescue his child, Law stormed into the criminals' headquarters, and "climbed" his way up to find his son, disposing of anyone that stood in his way.

He got to Gwen's office, but his son was nowhere to be seen. Law, in silence, approached Gwen, as she tried to strike a deal with him. He said nothing, and only stopped when Gwen mentioned his son. She took this chance to attack him with one of her knives, but his quick reflexes made her miss his chest,

Gambling and alcohol addict. His vices cost him his only child, a little boy of 10 years old. Because he was busy betting the rest of his money, his son had to walk home alone, at night. They lived in a one bedroom apartment. The way there involved passing through some questionable roads and alleys. So on that one night, the only night Lawrence didn’t go to pick up his son, was the night where the little boy lost his life to a traffic accident.
Depression hit him harder than ever after the incident, and without any money, Lawrence was put on the street for failing to pay rent. Months passed, living under a bridge alongside other homeless folk, he became a recluse, and avoided talking to anyone at all. The only thing bringing him some kind of twisted comfort was the half burnt cigarettes he found on the streets.
On a specially cold night, as his fingers turned black from frostbite, Lawrence layed on the concrete floor, bloodied and bruised from a couple of thugs beating him up for the measly coins he had found on a ditch
