“People call me Dr. Tyto but you can call me whatever….my name is Tyto Blight.”

“Oh? Halloo! I don’t believe we’ve met….”

“Oh yes! It helps calm the nerves wonderfully after a stressful day at work.” slight hooting “you really should try it out someday!”

chittering on blissfully “so good to be able to talk with another doctor, everyone else is always so busy…not that there’s anything wrong with that…but I am still fairly new and haven’t built up a steady reputation yet….sigh it’s taking forever….I am glad to have met you Doc Avie! Twas an absolute honor!”

“Soo…where is your practice located? I don’t think you are from around here..”

“Oh really? tilts head to think not sure where that is….is it much infected with the pestilence?”

“Oh! Also you should be careful when walking alone….several members of my guild have been mugged and one of them died..there is a rival guild of knaves calling themselves “modern doctors” said scornfully good gracious! What has the world come to…”

“Anyhoo…I’m not sure if you have heard about this or not…but this other guild has hired thugs to rough up honest doctors and steal their medicine!! And these loonies don’t stop with the medicine, they take everything that catches their eye for personal profit!” angy hooting

“It’s positively outrageous! But the constabulary does nothing about it because plague doctors are falling out of favor….so good doctors are being beaten up and their items stolen….one poor soul actually lost his mask to those devils….another lost their prized leeches!”

screeching “there is no purpose! All these new “doctors” want is to get money!! They don’t care about the patients and they don’t care what damage they do….”

“But that’s not the worst of it I’m afraid…..since the plague hasn’t been around for about a decade now people have started to scorn our honorable office and treat plague doctors with suspicion and scorn. These sentiments are encouraged by the guild of false doctors…the false doctors are spreading rumors that we actually were the cause of the pestilence…several commemorative statues and plaques have been torn down or defaced, plague doctor graves are being defiled….it’s absolute chaos.”
“The false doctors also had a mole inside my guild for several years…millennia of research and secret recipes were stolen by our enemies who then flaunt it around saying they came up with it.”
“The enemy is also saying that we are robbing our own people in an elaborate setup in order to gain publicity and sympathy..”

“Do you have any ideas….?”
