Every werewolf stereotype. The big brother type. WILL adopt you as his sibling. Generally an affable guy. Don't let the smile fool you.

From a Scottish family that immigrated to Canada in the 1930s.
His mother tried to kill him several times. The last time was when he was around 18. Sawney managed to feed her the arsenic that was meant for him and escape with his two friends, [redacted] and Anna ('ah' sound, not 'a' sound).
At some point, while trying to escape the city/town, [redacted] distracted the people who were chasing them while Anna and Sawney continued on. He did not survive.
At another point, while on the run, Sawney and Anna were breaking-and-entering in a suburb for supplies and food, and were caught by a huge man who turned out to be a werebear. Anna managed to avoid being physically caught, but Sawney did not. Sawney was forced to transform in front of Anna for the first time. He fought the bear and won, but was severely wounded in the process and stuck in his were- form. Anna was able to help him to safety.
