Eris wants to learn and grow her skills as a parishioner so she can become a fully-fledged member of the clergy. She also wants to earn her stripes; she wants everyone, especially Davlin, to trust her.

Eris can be overconfident and lack respect for tradition. She often thinks she knows what's best and can be resentful of people who try to tell her what to do, even if they know better.

Eris is a prodigal speaker of the scripture-tongue, known for being the best on the continent.

Eris is outgoing, outspoken, and clever.

Eris is young and doesn't understand politics, especially parishioner politics. She thinks and is reinforced by Davlin to think that being devout enough means politics don't have to matter.

Apprentice Parishioner in the Parish of Orkas

As an apprentice parishioner, Eris has to follow and aid Davlin in all of her doings. She manages the parish and the ceremonial teas that are important to religious rituals.

Eris attended the Academy for New Science for four years and studied scripture and the ancient tongue in preparation to become an apprentice parishioner.

Eris grew up middle-class on the streets of Rostvale as an only child who was eventually orphaned when her parents caught the starfall sickness. She looked to god for answers and choose to attend the Academy, where stories about Orkas entranced her. She learned the scripture-tongue to be closer to him, and was eventually selected by Speaker Mavem to be an apprentice parishioner because they were briefly at the Academy together and the Speaker thought it might give her a foothold with Parishioner Davlin, whom she despises. Unfortunately for Mavem, Davlin and Eris became fast friends instead.
