She ran away after her girlfriend got struck by lightning and she became evil.
She and her girlfriend, Melvie, were deeply in love. One day, Melvie got struck by lightning and lost all her memory. Em ran away thinking Mel was dead, while their best friend Cedar took Mel to the hospital. Cedar and Mel looked for Embray for years, but by the time they found her, she had already started ColdWinds. ColdWinds captures Kyrthae (Humans with magic), which both Cedar and Melvie were.
