He is very introverted and withdrawn. He has spent a lot of time alone causing him to become somewhat of a hermit, not knowing how to handle most social situation. He stares a lot and is a big people watcher. He finds it very difficult to trust new people and is very guarded about pretty much anything. He is often seen as rude for not responding to people when in all reality he just doesn't know what to say.

Hudson has lived in the lower levels his whole life. When he was four his parents went missing and he was left to fend for himself the rest of his life. From then on he was on his own.

Hudson didn't have very many people to talk to so growing up his social skills diminished. After a while of stealing to survive he realized he was getting to big to do it unnoticed, so he decided to try and find a job.

He succeeded in getting a grumpy old man to give him one at an old clock store in the lower levels where he lived. The man only gave him the job because he was practically mute by then. Of course, not being able to communicate properly, the man didn't ever learn his name so he just calls him Gunner. This is later explained because Gunner's wore the hats that he always had with him which is common history knowledge for someone with an education, that Hudson didn't have growing up.

Although the chance arose multiple times, he never took gang offers. His parents would never have approved. He is frequently asked if he has any drugs to sell but he just shakes his head. He swore he would never stoop that low.
