she usually just lets it go loose, but sometimes when she needs to focus she puts it into a ponytail (it's short so she has to pin down her bangs). It goes to about her jawline. It swoops down from (from an outside view) left to right. She usually has it tucked behind her ears.

she's very good at making connections with events or puzzle pieces. While this has gotten her into trouble, given her a broken nose, and a very bad impression of a coworker (all in the same day), she would never apologize for it. NOTE: she usually knows where she stands when she gets into an argument and uses this to her advantage of making the other person understand. BUT- she was taught to never apologize for being good at something, so whenever she is right in an argument, she doesn't apologize to the other person unless she sees necessary (which is rarely).

Well you see, Raziel is a very strange individual. Her mannerisms completely depend on who she's around. If she's around someone, say Apollo (someone she knows and is comfortable with), she'll let loose to a point. rubbing their back or just putting a hand on them a lot without realizing she's doing it and ruffling their hair is about as comfortable she gets with anyone younger than her. other than that she sits and stands with a straight posture when around any one else and doesn't initiate in conversation unless she has something that could keep up a long and interesting conversation. If Raziel is around someone she doesn't really know, she'll stand tall and lift her chin ever so slightly, making herself appear bigger. This came from her mistrust of people, where she unconsciously makes herself look bigger and more unapproachable. a lot of her mannerisms developed because of her childhood and her social anxiety. for example in the company of someone she considers family (such as the police force) she'll be more open and happy. She'll smile more and be more affectionate with them, her social anxiety calms down when she's with people she truly trusts. There's literally only a small police station and nova. and maybe apollo but she pushes apollo away most of the time because she doesn't want to hurt them. She's also a phenomenal liar (thanks to her parents who were compulsive liars) so most people won't notice if she's lying or not. this makes sarcasm hard to use since people never know if she's joking or not. only the people close to her (like Officer Buck) notice the little flicker in her eyes and the twitch of her mouth when she lies.

She wants to protect, help, and support people who need her (or who she cares for).
Seeing Apollo safe every day is an accomplishment for Raziel, and it pushes her forwards to protect them.

She knows her flaws and she doesn't like them, but she doesn't do anything about them most of the time, which makes her even more frustrated. People who don't know her that well don't like Raziel. This is because she's not very good at translating her thoughts into words, and it takes her a while to get used to people and learn their way of being kind or rude. Also, she ends up arguing with people a lot in her profession, and she's usually right which pisses people off. If she is wrong however, she'll own up to it immediately and it usually makes the other person mad (they usually expect her to be upset or feel stupid but when she apologizes it catches them off guard and makes them angry. Raziel has noticed this in a few people). If she doesn't like someone, she'll just ignore them when they come up to her unless they're asking for help, that's her weak spot.

anyone who is intentionally rude to people is immediately off of her "be nice to them" list. Disrespect is something she will absolutely will not tolerate, it just bugs her to no end that someone would treat another living and breathing being like crap. The same goes for if someone is careless with another person's items. If they are rude at all they aren't worth being around and she doesn't tolerate their mood. She doesn't have all that many prejudices though.

She really enjoys a good puzzle or riddle. One time she got a jigsaw puzzle with 2000 pieces and put it together in about an hour. She doesn't really have time for other hobbies, since she's usually wrapped up in a case. Since she became a teenager, her favorite place to be (she considers it her home) is with the police force in her hometown.

Raziel is someone who doesn't trust easily. She doesn't get to know a lot of people and over time that has taken a lot of her ability to talk to people. Years of living in her own head have taken a toll on her and she has trouble putting her brilliant thoughts into words. She'll help anyone who asks it of her, and she'll go to great lengths to help them as well. She's also quite indecisive when it comes to her favorite things, as she doesn't really think about that a lot, she just goes with the flow, observing other people.

If you ask her "What's your favorite color?" she'll probably blurt out several colors and then keep going for a few minutes until she realizes you're waiting on her to answer. At that point, she'll probably just say "I don't have one." She'll think about it for the rest of the day and completely forget the next day.

Dogs probably...Cats are cute too... Sharks are awesome... Snakes are cuties too, and so are rabbits, and deer- she'll go on forever, just give it up

She finds guns to be efficient, but they're too loud for her taste (yes, she's used silencers, and it makes her experience more enjoyable). She prefers knives, they're quiet, you can throw them, she doesn't have to reload every ten seconds, and they let her move swiftly.

Her notebook. She's had it for years and it's filled with cases, some she solves, few she didn't. She has meticulous notes and a few sticky notes on her favorite pages and a bookmark for the newest pages to write on. So far she's a few pages from the end, but she'll keep it when she's finished with it.

Of course, her one true weakness are fudge brownies. She cannot resist them! Her Aunt used to bake them for her all the time and they are delicious! She used to take them from anyone and everyone. Although it got her high once, so now she's particularly careful about who she takes them from and if they smell weird.

she's a detective. she doesn't talk about it much but she finds what she does as interesting and if it helps people at the same time it'll make her happy and that's something she cares about. Also she studied from her Aunt's close friend, who was a detective and taught her some of the things about being a detective. She left out the bad things that she had seen.

When it comes to politics Raziel feels very strongly about her opinion that people should have equal rights, and the government should definitely have more people with common sense.

she doesn't really think about it a lot, though if she had to give an answer she would say this: "I don't really believe in any certain god, I do think that maybe there might be some sort of higher power, but I also think that there isn't really the possibility that something like that could ever really exist. I don't know what to tell you what I am, would you mind letting me get back to work in peace?"

May 27th, 1991

She was born in Wales, but she lost most of the memories about it when she moved to america at age 6 (Raziel wants to take Apollo there at some point). she's been surrounded by american culture ever since. Her mother and father were always fighting and told her lies, generating her trust issues. They would lie so that she would choose to live with one of them when she got older. Later her father shot her mother during a heated argument and hospitalized her for months. Raziel was scared of him and wouldn't look at him and she was taken away to her aunts home. Her aunt was very sweet and kind to her throughout her life and she was raised well. Raziel was bullied quite a lot because of her parents who were well known in the town, that caught on and followed her through her whole life. She didn't have many friends, since everyone was afraid of being bullied as well. The few who tried to stand up for her were often quickly repelled by her nature or beaten up.

Raziel once saw a crime being investigated in the newspaper, and she saw the obvious answer to it, and brought it to the police. They were astonished and for the first time they showed genuine kindness. The police force quickly became more of a home than her own, and she grew close with all of the people there. Her school life however, didn't get any better. She was bullied more and more because she was an easy target. The officer that regularly went around the school was about to go home. Before getting in his car, he saw raziel getting pulled into the center of a bunch of kids who quickly gathered. In the center, a kid had pinned her down and was punching her, she was then picked up and rocks flew at her. All along, the kids were shouting slurs of insults and names at her. The officer (known as Officer Buck) was quick to run over. All of the kids quickly dispersed. Buck took Raziel down to the police station to clean up the cuts she had. After her wounds healed, Buck taught her self defense and showed her how to take someone down. The lieutenant even offered to be a punching bag. Because of their help, she mastered and learned many new methods of self defense. That self defense has saved her many times, and it is a very important skill to her. Raziel was also interested in her mother and father's case, nothing was ever explained to her and she had forgotten the few details that were, but it drove her want to help other people find answers and figure out puzzles. The police force that had grown to be family let her in on a lot of stuff, but they tried to protect her from the bodies and a lot of other things. That didn't stop Raziel though. There's a particular case that changed her life forever. she was 16, there had been a murder, it was a woman with a child named Apollo. As she wasn't allowed on the case, but she was determined to solve it for that kid. Raziel met a genius 21 year old named Nova, they were quick friends despite Raziel's age normally repelling nature. Nova was pulled into the case head first, and helped Raziel out a lot. They were very close on catching the murderer, but they ended up failing to find whoever had done it. During the course of the case, Raziel became close to the family she was hired by. When the father committed suicide, Raziel was quick to take in Apollo (she was 20), and lost touch with Nova as she went back to her life. The case had bothered her for 7 years, until another murder popped up. At this time she was a fully fledged detective. Raziel uncovered a sloppily placed item found at the crime scene that shouldn't have been there. It was a wooden block, with a moon and stars carved into it. Raziel recognized this immediately as she had seen it in pictures and Apollo used to talk about it sometimes. She was able to take it home, on her way she scrolled to the bottom of her contacts to get back in touch with an old friend. When Raziel got home she told Apollo, and they were immediately angered. Nova arrived the next day and the duo reunited, smarter and wiser than before. They were ready this time, they had information. But does the murderer have a few new tricks up their sleeves? Will they catch them? How far will Raziel go to catch the murderer that's been haunting her thoughts for seven years?

She was pretty much taken in by a small police force when she was a teenager. she went to college to get a law degree to join the ones she pretty much called family.

If she were to get a pet, it would be a weasel, but she's away so much and wouldn't be able to take care of it.

When Raziel took Apollo in, she was going to college, this was a huge struggle for Raziel but with the help of the police force she wanted to be apart of, Apollo always had a roof over their head and three meals a day. When Raziel finished college she was barely able to support herself and Apollo with the money she made. She was always working so she didn't get to set aside much time for Apollo.
