Ravielle Riversong

Ravielle seeks to discover more about the Druids of the Antler, a mysterious group of druids whom her mentor belonged to.

Ravielle's father, Astrion, was a wandering Druid of the Antler who kept to himself and followed the peaceful ways of Malorne. He fell in love with a female Sentinal, and Ravielle was born. She was raised during the Night Elves' ten thousand year vigil, where the druids-- who were almost all male-- slumbered in the Emerald Dream. Despite showing innate talent for druidcraft, her mother refused to have Ravielle trained as a druid.

Astrion disagreed with her decision and whisked Ravielle away, bringing her on his travels through Azeroth and the worlds beyond. He taught her druidic magic, emphasizing the ability to heal and guide others to internal peace.

Although they assisted refugees and frightened villages across Azeroth under the Lich King and Deathwing's tyranny, Astrion and Ravielle did not participate on the front lines. When Pandaria was unveiled, the duo traveled there and Astrion- an old elf whose days of wandering were over- settled in the Jade Forest. He sent Ravielle to continue his work spreading messages of peace, unity, and healing to the races of the Alliance.

Years passed, and Ravielle sought her own path, trying to find out more about Astrion's fellow Druids of the Antler and her own place in the world. She aided in the cleansing of the Sha, and met the August Celestials. She got along well with the Pandaren, feeling that their ideology about balance of emotion and inner strength resonated with hers.

Recently, Jaina reached out to all of her former allies- including Ravielle- through her sworn followers, the Vigilants of Proudmoore, requesting that they come to her aid once again. With no tabard to wear or banner to rally under, Ravielle accepted the request and journeyed to the Broken Isles, Broken Shore, and finally Argus to serve Jaina's plans.

"It was years ago that I crossed paths with Lady Proudmoore. Then, she had hardly founded Theramore, and her people had been stricken by a strange illness. I was able to purify the sick and bring them back to full health, and identify certain poisonous flowers in Dustwallow Marsh as the cause. Before I moved on, I provided them the means for an antidote and Lady Proudmoore herself thanked me for contributing to her new empire.

I joined the Vigilants based on Lady Proudmoore's actions, the way she treats her people that I have witnessed in person, and the decisions she has made regarding the Horde. I particularly admire her tendency to attempt diplomacy before militancy- to see across faction lines, but retaliate strongly if her peacemaking efforts prove ineffective.

Although I try to stay on the peacemaking side, I understand that drastic, sometimes vicious efforts must sometimes be taken in order to serve the greater purpose of peace.

In becoming a Vigilant, I hoped to promote peacemaking and kindness, and let the stronger and more powerful ones of the Vigilant ranks take up the mantle of enforcer when peacemaking fails."
